Secrets of Creation and Jailer's Plan Revealed in Zereth Mortis Books (Spoilers)

Zovaal sought to dominate all the Zereths once he killed off Azeroth at the Heart of Zereth Mortis.

Azeroth(A Zereth) logically being Zereth Ordos would be Zovaal’s first target as he wiped out all Life in the Great Dark Beyond and moved on to the Cosmic Realms of Light, Shadow, Life and Chaos killing everything there as well.

Incidentally Zovaal’s attacks leave cracks in the pattern as intended by the First Ones.

Since the First Ones summoned Zovaal and the other Eternal Ones into Robot Vessels they anticipated the time when they would break free and set things up so that they would only free themselves when Mortals fully came into being and were ready champions.

Furthermore the First Ones set it up so that Mortals would ascend while the 6 pinpoints in the Pattern(which are infact a manifestation of 1 Entity) break free just in time for the 7th point in the pattern to come in to assail the 6!

The Pattern incidentally is depicted as a Song with Firim stating that the Song must not end…

Mysterious Whisper whispers: Night falls. Her song will end.
Mysterious Whisper whispers: Her whispers echo loudest of all.
Mysterious Whisper whispers: The cracks widen

Furthermore N’Zoth also states:

“The Fall of Night reveals her true face. She will bring only ruin.”

Night is embodied by the Pattern with 6 pinpoints/chains who is the enemy of the 7th pinpoint. What form will Night take when we face her and witness the silencing of her Song…

“At the hour of her third death she will usher in our coming.” - Il’gynoth

How many of the 6 Pinpoints/Chains of Night are already dead? How close is she to freedom? The fact that the Nathrezim use the term “our coming” in their Enemy Infiltration Journal suggests that Denathrius might be one of the 6 Pinpoints which we just unshackled!

Does the 7th Pinpoint have chains or is it free? Firim already stated he noted Infinite Forces in the Pattern even if he saw the 7th Pinpoint opposed to the 6 despite seeing the 7th as Fractal at first.

The 7th has Infinite Chains forged with the aid of the 6 Chains of Night. Zovaal(who states that Death was never meant to be chained) is just one of them! So is Mueh’zala. Yogg-Saron & G’huun are yet more Chains with the Curse of Flesh’s victims being the remaining Chains.

Night’s chains will be the first to break then shall Death escape…

Just here to say I’m happy for a book collection achievement. The expansions since MoP have been very short on in-game readable books, and I’ve missed that.

I don’t think the Devs have any idea what they’re doing. It’s very underwhelming.

The last part is clearly the most interesting. The design is not meant to endure. Which means the warcraft universe is probably going to keep remaking itself. Think Final Fantasy Dissidia.

Which leads to one of two outcomes. Will Warcraft end up being “remade” in other words a soft reboot. Or will we beat who ever is trying to remake the universe and effectively have an end to the story?(again the two outcomes from the Dissidia games)

I just want to see the next expansion… so I can see what Danuser comes up with without blaming Alex for all the crazy things they are putting out.

And by crazy I mean incredibly bad.

I think it’s fine.

My only issue is that this is way too much cosmic space robot sci-fi for a fantasy game. Feels like something I’d read on a randomly hidden computer in a Halo game.

I dont neccesarily mind, it is the whole “Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic" but reverse. It was established a long time ago that arcane magic is math, so why wouldnt the building blocks of the universe potentially be a type of geometry, which is a specific branch of mathematics?

About time we got some answers instead of sperging about MuH fRaCtAlS. It seems like the First Ones have allowed the Zereths to be vulnerable enough incase the cosmic forces need to be changed or destroyed. I think that’s interesting, as it might lead to them all being destroyed and the universe being remade should that need to happen in the narrative for whatever reason. Zereth Mortis can also probably be used as a doorway to the other cosmic planes, which we will probably have to go to in order to prevent those Zereths from being tampered with and using that as an excuse to visit them in future expansions. I also think that the seventh force is all of them combined together, which is also another possibility for the future, that all the cosmic planes might be combined to more easily prevent the cosmic threats from destroying the universe.

Might be crazy…but there might be something bigger between these two points…

Then again, It might be nothing.

“Everything about the Shadowlands–everything!–is part of the pattern. A closed system in which nothing is lost. Even that which is seemingly destroyed is merely being reshaped for a new purpose.” ~ Firim

“The Jailer, he who tormented so many, who long ago set in motion the plague of undeath on our world, has finally been destroyed.” ~ Bolvar

Insert gif of Charlie from IASIP being a conspiracy theorist…

I’m think the old gods and their minions have been warning us the entire time about this 7th unseen force but we been taking it as nothing but insane ramblings

This feels like the world’s longest striptease. You spend hundreds of dollars waiting for a reveal, only for the stripper to take off a shoe, tell you the show’s over, and to come back next year to see the other shoe come off.

Stained Pamphlet - Item - World of Warcraft (wowhead.com)

THE END OF ALL THINGS

The crooked serpent with no eyes is watching from the endless sky.

Forked tongues flicker through the black pits in dead stars.

The veil between dream and dreamer slides away like skin from bone.

And even the darkness howls for the light it once despised.

<The rest of the note is illegible, covered in strange glyphs and scribbles.>

Is the Crooked Serpent coming to eat the Night?

AN EMERALD DAWN

An emerald sun dawns in the vault of the heavens, but it casts no shadow.

The world lifts her voice in terror, but only one can hear her cries.

From the space that is everywhere and nowhere, the crooked serpent feasts on stars.

It has no eyes to see, but it dreams of infinite endings and beginnings.

<Strange glyphs and writing in an unknown language cover the rest of the scroll.>

There is no sharp distinction between the real and the unreal.

From the way these prophecies describe it’s almost as if the Infinite Possibilities are the Crooked Serpent’s doing not the Old Gods who merely peeled away the veil between the Serpent’s Dreams and Reality.

The fact that the Prophecy takes Argus as validation of an Emerald Dawn prophecy insinuates that the Serpent is true Dreamer of the Emerald Dream.

Chronicle outright states that no one knows how Freya created the Emerald Dream so for all we know the Crooked Serpent is the source of the Dream and Freya reached into it to serve as a Blueprint for Azeroth!

Then it struck me. The oracles spoke in both one truth and a thousand.

One truth and a thousand truths? Now who else has that effect? Oh yes, the light and the dark. Which again futhers my theory we will need both and we have one character who has managed to successful mix the two(however briefly), Alleria.

Should not have read wowhead’s comments, everyone’s so exhaustingly negative.

I like this though! It’s really very interesting. The First Ones, the geometric framework, that all the other cosmic orders have their own Zereth’s too. It’s an intriguing actual origin to things and something that links all them all together. A new layer into the mix. And it completely explains what Zovaal is exactly doing.

And I love the last couple chapters. Very dark and ominous that a tiny crack in the pattern could give, presumably the Void, the advantage it’s been looking for.

I don’t think it’ll be next expansion, honestly I think they’ll switch back to some Azeroth-related threat for awhile. But in the future I definitely want to see more of this and how the cosmic spectrum may start crumbling apart.

And if the Jailer, in his act of malevolence, left behind but the most imperceptible of cracks in that pattern, then I fear what is tiny now will only grow, until the balance itself is prone to be shattered by another force applying relentless pressure.

Inc Void Lords… :octopus: :octopus: :octopus:

I pray that the First Ones anticipated such an eventuality. That they would leave measures in place to preserve their grand design.

Hopefully there’s a titan so powerful, that she alone will be able to defeat the Void Lords…

That firim quotes probably hard arthas foreshadowing At this point lol

I think you may be over complicating it. “Nightsong” is the Night Elf Theme music and it’s often associated with Elune. “Her song will end” may simply just be heralding the fall of Elune. The Old Gods have a personal vendetta against Elune because he Night Warriors were made specifically to combat Old God corruption, but they may just be feeding it.

I would take this whisper with a grain of salt. The Void Lords want to destroy Elune, she is their number one enemy. They even call her thier ‘greatest enemy’ The Night Warrior plot is far from over.

There is. Her name is Azeroth.

thats not true. The night warrior wasn´t made to fight against old gods. The blessing was the first time successfully ussed in order to defeat an old gods, but the people know the ritual even before the old god on their planet was a thing.
