Seasoned Winds PvP Nerf

I just want to state that Seasoned Winds was a PvP Talent, and that it’s a great talent. Love seeing it integrated into the class talent tree. So seeing the nerf

  • Seasoned Winds now decreases damage taken by 10% (was 15%) per stack in PvP combat.

It’s just like Devs going,

“You know your PvP talent that we made available for PvE? Yeah about your PvE talent for PvP.”

“We loved it for ages at 15%, season after season. We loved seeing you with it for ages in a spot that, we know you couldn’t get. And when you did finally fit it in, it’s really great. But now that you can get it, yeah… nah. It does so much know you have to interrupt late to get rolling value. That’s when you should be interrupting anyway… Anyway, shaman.”

Like I’m not asking for a friend from the PvP developer or Balance council (judge?), this is still a win; Seasoned Winds is still a win. But man, what a way to just see that no one has friends when they go to balance PvP even when the ability has historical record.

I was pretty surprised they put seasoned winds in at full PvP talent strength as a regular tree 1 point talent. So, I wasn’t surprised when I saw the nerf.

It was too good for 1 point in the general tree. Think about it from the casters’ perspective - before we had to sacrifice a PvP talent slot for it so they could count on either not facing it or not having to face burrow or shamanism or something else if we took it.

Now, it’s a no-brainer vs casters w/very little opportunity cost to take. I wasn’t excited for a nerf, but it felt like the right move to me.
