World buffs are lame, and they didn’t do enough changes to entice people to try it.
Why would i play SoM2v if it’s no changes again with the same classes being the top and the same being at the bottom. Especially when small stuff like changing CP can help feral
6 Hunters, 7 Mages, 2 Warlocks, 4 Rogues and 8 Warriors, along with the 2 Warr tanks as well as 1 Druid, 4 Paladin and 6 Priest healers,
Was for Rag, SoM2 with no changes is dead on arrival. We’ve already had the same start 4 times already give us something new( vanilla, classic, som, and hc)
Who cares what the raid comp was dude? What does that have to do with your claim no one played som because “not enough changes”? You just made that up. YOU thought there wasn’t enough changes and assumed everyone else thinks like you do.
They could relaunch Lassic 2019 and it’ll still be wildly successful, for the mere fact that there hasn’t been a good fresh SINCE classics actual launch. This one is gonna be a behemoth regardless of what changes they do because wrath is almost over.
People have been playing the same vanilla for over 10 years dude. Changes aren’t the reason people do or do not play it.
I’d argue bad changes put people offf of it. But there is no common concensus what “good changes” are.
I don’t think balance should be the goal for SoM (or Classic+), just to slightly improve things so that classes that are less desirable now become more desirable. Even if the overall class ranking doesn’t change (and I don’t think it should), I just think they should be brought a little closer together.
So stuff like this…
… is what a lot of people would be looking for. I’d go so far as to include prot pally in that as well, along with giving them a taunt. I’m not actually sure if ferals need anything, when played well they do all right I’m given to understand. Though maybe very small buffs for them too.
Beyond that, keep the vanilla class balance intact!
I will say this though, the Pally/Shaman thing is an interesting one. I strongly feel the vanilla feel needs to be preserved, so minimal changes. However, there’s a bit of a conundrum there. People tend to strongly favour Alliance in PvE because of Paladins, especially due to Blessing of Salvation. However, making both classes available to both factions tends to cause people to just shift to Horde for the better racials. This might be one of those things that are better left alone, or perhaps just a buff to the shaman threat redurcing totem to make it more compelling?
I think it is inevitable that at some point, they will try to do that.
But what those meme specs need is not damage equal or right under pures. All they need is their existing talents and synergies built upon.
For example, enhance shamans windfury procs can proc a party-wide haste buff. BAM enhance shamans INSTANTLY required in raid, for the main rank group at the bare minimum.
Something similar to ret as well. I don’t know ret as well though. Blend those 2 specs to also make use of spell power and intellect so they’re actual hybrid spell damage melee classes who actually buff their group. Make flametongue and frost brand spell damage scaling 100-200% higher and return mana back and when you crit those imbues, your party gains their respective flame or frost damage on their attacks (stacking with WF)
Elemental/moonkin crits can return mana back and buff boomkin to 5% crit aura for mobile songflower etc
Nobody is arguing that. The new fresh will be enormous wether they make changes or not. That is something that is inevitable due to its timing. What you fail to accept is changes are not the end all be all of this game
I don’t even know why I am arguing with someone so clueless/out of touch anyways. You are basing WF kills roster as a rule of law for soms poor performance. There wasn’t even a lot of warriors in that roster… lol
I’m not saying nochanges is the only way.
The problem is you rainbow dragons come here demanding changes and couldn’t even tell us how you would deliver your changes
Saying “balance classes” and not even knowing how you want that done is dumb. You just want to see your feral Druid dps look like rogues
I disagree with meme specs doing pure dps class dmg. It’s more fun to have their synergies and talents improved further. My suggestion above would make raids instantly require those classes
