Season of Discovery

  • Lucky Doubloon now has a small 1.5 second cooldown, even if you flip heads to clear the cooldown on the item. This is to prevent it from being flipped multiple times unintentionally.
  • The Quartermaster’s Crate is now provided upon acceptance of “Prove Your Worth” from Bryon Steelblade.
  • Classes
    • Paladin
      • The Avenging Shield buff granted from the Scarlet Enclave 6-piece set bonus for Protection Paladins correctly lasts the same duration as Avenging Wrath.
  • Scarlet Enclave
    • There are now 3 Torn Pages containing Torn Diary Pages in them in Scarlet Enclave. These should be lootable by and tradable to players who were present for the Reborn Council encounter. Torn Pages should no longer disappear if there is a soft reset after the Reborn Council but before Lillian Voss.
    • Berserk Timers for all bosses, except Caldoran, have been increased to 10 minutes.
    • Caldoran will now Berserk 6 minutes after Phase 2 begins (was 5 minutes after).
    • The aggro radiuses of the Reborn Council have been lowered to allow for easier prepositioning before pulling the boss.

  • Elemental Invasions now spawn every 1-2 hours (was every 24-48 hours).
  • The Grand Arcanist and Grand Sorcerer enchants now additionally grant Healing Power equal to the same amount of spell power.
  • The Grand Arcanist and Grand Sorcerer enchants now have a 0.1 second cooldown on them to prevent players from getting multiple procs of the mana restoration effect on a singular spell cast.
  • The Grand Arcanist and Grand Sorcerer enchants can now proc from non-periodic healing spells that heal during combat.
  • The Mirage summoned from the Mirage, Rod of Illusion will no longer attempt to melee attack under certain conditions.
  • Immolation Traps will no longer Melee during the Alexei the Beastlord encounter.
  • Classes
    • Warlock
      • The Naxxramas damage 4-piece bonus will now correctly apply to and activate the Corruption applied by the Scarlet Enclave tank 2-piece bonus.
      • The Scarlet Enclave Tank 4-piece bonus now correctly applies its heal from Corruption ticks off the instant tick from the Naxxramas damage 4-piece bonus.

It is not necessary. The raid is designed for 20 raiders and provides appropriate loot for a 20-person raid. You want more loot per person, bring 20 people. Problem solved. Bringing additional participants makes the fights and raids easier but results in less loot per player. Taking exactly 20 participants makes the fights harder more but offers more loot to divide among the raiders.

  • Paladin
    • The Scarlet Enclave Protection 6-set bonus now correctly also allows the use of Avenging Wrath while under the effects of Forbearance.

  • Fixed an issue that prevented players who have completed the quest “Decapitation Strike” from being able to view a certain roleplay event that starts at Light’s Hope Chapel when another player turns in the quest “Fall of the Grand Crusader”.
  • The proc from Mirage will no longer cause the master to stand up when their Mirage casts Arcane Explosion.
  • Scarlet Enclave
    • Caldoran now drops 1 additional non-tier token piece of loot.
    • Lilian Voss now drops a Crusader’s Chalice.
    • The first boss you loot after Balnazzar now drops a Jostled Chalice Fragment once per week.
    • Developers’ notes: This means if you did the raid in a linear manner, looting Beatrix would grant you a Jostled Chalice Fragment. But if you forgot to loot her, joined the raid late, or joined a pick up group that was already in progress, the first boss you loot will grant you a Jostled Chalice Fragment.

Does it work though? ive gone through entire mana bars and never seen it proc off heals.

As a priest it works. It specifically doesn’t work for auto cast spells or hots. It has to be a direct heal. I have 50-60% uptime on the buff when I last tested.

crazy…i went through several mana bars of flash and binding heal and never saw a proc a few min ago

You have to be in combat for it to work.

  • The Abandoned Experiment will no longer play its proc sound effect while you are at maximum stacks.
  • Paladin
    • Leonid Barthalomew now temporarily exchanges the Scarlet Enclave Holy to Shockadin tier set (in addition to the Retribution to Shockadin set exchange). These will be removed from the vendor list on May 20.
    • The Shockadin 6-piece set bonus has been adjusted – Now grants 8% spell power per stack of Holy Power consumed while using a one-handed weapon, and 18% spell power per stack of Holy Power consumed when using a 2-handed weapon (was 15% spell power per stack of Holy Power consumed).
  • Enchanting
    • Access to the New Avalon Mage Tower now requires Enchanting 280 (was 300), matching the requirements of the rest of the puzzle.

why not just let everyone change the tier till May 20…why just paladins?? a lot of spell and gear changes have happened and maybe some other classes want to play other specs that are buffed like shockadin.

  • Fixed an issue where the Corrupted Ashbringer questline could get soft locked if you died while inside of Mount Hyjal between quests.
    • Thisalee will allow you to go to Mount Hyjal after completing her quests, and will no longer allow you back into Mount Hyjal once you are finished there.
    • If you complete the quest “Falling Into Place” and did not accept the follow-up quest “A Difficult Path” before the Will of the Ashbringer despawned, talk to Rix Xizzix in Booty Bay to get a replacement. How this Goblin got the Inert Ashbringer in his possession? We don’t know, but you’re just glad he found it!
  • Paladin
    • Sunlight will now correctly benefit from the Scarlet Enclave Shockadin 6-set bonus.

Aggrend: We really like where the status is on the new raid. People can clear the raid with 30+ players, even though it’s supposed to be tuned for 20 players. It’ll also take 4 months to get full BiS. Definitely what we had planned. SoD is for the casual playerbase. So, there’s nothing wrong with this.

So we get 0 updates on reset day to:

  • Caldoran?
  • Shamans in PvP?
  • Banwave for Cheaters/Scriptusers in PvP or the Safespotting monkeys in new avalon?

What the heck are you doing SoD team?
Your product is advertising a 20man raid yet it is tuned for 25+.
Your product has a broken PvP scene, Hunters/Boomies and Shamans are just straightup better then anything else and it shows, not to mention the healing reduction being unfair compared to the damage reduction aura.
Your product is filled with people that abuse safespots in PvP to avoid gamemechanics like guards and a select few are also up scripting but we ignore every issue and pretend it is not happening. Just sweeping it under the rug because the people on the SoD team are terrible at understanding the issues of the game and thus can’t find a way to get the job done. For what are y’all getting paid if you aren’t doing anything?

Resto druid is currently doing 15-20% less healing than the top healers. We’ve been the worst healer since AQ40. We also offer zero impactful raid utility to make up for our lesser HPS.

Please make the 6p 3.5 tier spread lifebloom instead of rejuv. LB is our bread and butter healing spell currently due to the t3 2p proc, and anywhere from 45-80% of our healing in a fight. if you want to make our rotation GCD heavy, at least let it spread our actual healing spell so we can do meaningful HPS off a setup.
