Season 4 is actually a lot of fun

I wasn’t going to come back to WoW until dragon flight released. I find I get bored with a content patch cycle as soon as I finish the raid on normal and check out all the dungeons and new content. So although some of the dungeons needed tuning on release, I thought bringing old content and making it gear relevant is a cost-efficient way to keep interest in the game. I really hope that blizzard continues this method of recycling older content because it really keeps it feeling fresh from grinding the same dungeons for two years. I know this is probably not likely but I loved time-walking and I hope they rotate expansions every week because I have a ton of fun visiting raids a lot of us likely have never experienced before and missed out on. The idea of rewarding seasonal mounts for the time invested keeps a sense of ownership beyond the season as well. So despite the criticisms, I’m genuinely excited for what’s to come in Dragonflight with the current plan of rotating dungeons and raids between seasons. Keeping things feeling fresh is what is going to keep me and many others subscribed. That’s my two cents from a casual player perspective.

From a not casual perspective, season four raiding is absolute trash. I hate redoing and reprogressing old raid content.

I’d personally rather get new content, especially early on in the expansion. That said, I don’t mind what they’re doing in s4. I just wish they’d keep it limited to a sort of end-of-expac thing. Not excited to run old dungeons in a fresh expansion.

I’m sure they would love to give us new content but that’s not what this season was about

My only problem with S4 is the removal of the shadowlands dungeons from the mythic plus options. I dont mind Blizz adding stuff but why remove so many dungeons? Like why?

I appreciate the philosophy on display, here, though. Old content should not be irrelevant the second a new patch or expansion hits. It’s a waste of content. That being said, the Fated experiment voids the “current” content in order to make the old content relevant, which isn’t a great look either.

My guess is so you don’t have to do 14?

Lots of the dungeons are trash anyway and are annoying and if they didnt remove them we’d have like a 16+ dungeon pool which is way too much and would overwhelm most players.

That’s easy. Stop doing catch-up gear every season.

Forgive me for not understanding what your point is. I didn’t state or imply what I thought s4’s design philosophy was supposed to be.

I kinda understand why they’ve done it. Imagine having to do 16 dungeons for your ksm. And it is refreshing not having to see the 8 SL dungeon. I was personally getting bored w/ them around middle of season 3.

But imagine, this week would of been 24 different dungeons! :dracthyr_yay_animated:
