Season 2 Mythic+

Remember season 1 of Shadowlands, when everything hit the fan because PvP gear was so outrageously easy and overpowered that everyone had to get it if they wanted to maintain gearing parity in raids AND in M+?

Blizzard actually learned something from that and built an iron curtain between the content. It’s long past time to build another one.

Let me go in with my follower dungeons NPCs. Lol

I got grand total of one piece of gear from m+… might have been the vault actually

Honestly, it’s a terrible idea. People feeling “forced” to play content, that’s on them.

We shouldn’t be punishing players who enjoy playing multiple pillars by forcing them they need to have a set of gear for every pillar. There’s a complete difference in having BiS for each slot, and making gear inactive in the pillar it wasn’t obtained in.

Blizzard shouldn’t listen to this idea.

They consider all pve content to be in the same area, so it’ll never happen

Hey,
Sorry this is off topic but my brain wont let it go.
I was reading a thread a bit ago (now deleted) and you made a comment i wanted to expand on, but ran out of time reading the thread before it was deleted.

Fade is a wacky crazy priest spell that behaves like no other spell in the game. It doesnt drop threate like vanish or Fiegn death, but more like drop a phone, you pick it back up.

Say i have 100 threate points
I hit Fade and it drops to 0
While having the fade buff, i gain 50 threate points.
When the fade buff expires, you get all lost threate back. Putting you at 150 total.

So unless someone does something to generate threate on a target, priest will pull the threate back after fade ends. The tooltip semi lies, you dont actually lose or reduce your total threate, just misplace it temporarily.

Sorry again, like i said not important at all, just saw your name and my brain wanted to leap at the chance to explain fade you mentioned before since its a very unique spell. =P

M+ needs to become more forgiving.

If this season has highlighted anything is that most players are not ready for the difficulty curve that +12 keys presents. It’s mindblowing just how awful some folks are at the game even at that level (standing in obvious ground mechanics).

Why? You don’t NEED to do a 12, it can be very hard

We don’t need to balance everything around the lowest common denominator

If you’re replying to me then please read what I said closer.

People enjoy pushing M+ for the challenge of it and increasing their score. Above a certain threshold it scales significantly higher.

There is a large group of players pushing into 12+ keys as player power grows every week and most of them are BAD. It’s mind numbing to think about.

You said it should be more forgiving, why? 12s are hard because they’re supposed to be, if people are bad, they’re not meant to them til they get better

It should be a bit more forgiving because not all of us have an organized group. Relying on the spatial awareness of PUGs who aren’t good at the game and are being mostly carried by their item level is a race to the bottom.

It’s unfortunate but every week it gets WORSE (which is astonishing to think about). Even with a 90 second boost to the timer, people still manage to brick keys at that level and below.

How is that possible? This is what I mean when I say it’s mind numbing. You can’t trust randoms to pay attention and avoid simple mistakes.

Sounds like it’s time to start making friends with the not bad players and stop fully pugging

You might be right.

Less stress in a video game. sigh

We don’t need to balance things around the less than 1 percent, either. Neither extreme is healthy.

Class balance would be trivial if not for RWF and MDI.

It sucks, but randoms be randoming

The thing is, you’re talking about going beyond reward, which is what most people don’t do

When it comes to 12s, that’s something only the small %s of players do, because most people would say… why?

I don’t go over 10, I have no plans to go over 10s, there is no reward beyond 10, the people who do are a special breed

At this point, I’m questioning why I’m pushing 12 and beyond myself.

I’m not going to get the .1% title because I’m not that talented and don’t have a dedicated group. The challenge is great, but I’ve never had a person kiss my myth track boots for having a mid-high score.

Isn’t title like 13 right now lol, you aren’t kidding that 12s are hard

So you’re like me? The past 6 seasons I’ve reached 2500, never getting past 15s because wow cool points were only cool when I was a teenager… I agree that we shouldn’t balance the game around little johnny with an IQ of a wooden plank, but I’m just sayin they shouldn’t balance the game around such a small fraction of the playerbase. But MDI and RWF makes them money, and money will always muddy the waters. So balance is impossible.

If you were talking mythic raid I’d agree, but since m+ is scaling I really don’t consider it balanced for the elite

Also, it was 18s :stuck_out_tongue: that’s where myth track came from haha
