Season 2 M+ Healing Tips For Each Dungeon/Affix

Those adds cheap shot the first person they target so if its the tank they just go to the healer next if you were rolling heals.

Anyone have any strat’s for the 2nd last pack of mobs in VP? Has an Asaad with two Executor of the Caliph that cast Crashing stone repeatedly. As a disc priest I don’t have alot of movement so having to move in and out of the lightning field while trying to heal through all the damage was ridiculous. Only thing I can think of is if you dominate mind one of the Executors.

Cant say ive had this issue. or even seen it. Only issues for me in that place is second boss on tyr. You close enough to cast fear? I find im often top or second for cc’s in keys. Uncapped fear is very nice

Im hugely enjoying these keys and outside of an 18 VP TYR last boss that i struggled to heal cause the add was up too long im finding these dungeons a refreshing change.

Updated the thread with Halls of Infusion/Neltharus.

I’ll get around to Underrot/Freehold - but these are the easiest dungeons right now so figured I’d wait to the end for them.

Also been experimenting with dominate mind in the packs before HoI’s third boss - the primalists empower the proto dragons of their type while close, so dominating them and moving them out should de-empower the drake.

That said, final pack is still very hard, but skippable with Mind Soothe and invis.

Executors cant be cc’d. Only the servants which have a brutal tank buster.

For pyramid you can just stay in until he overloads and step a couple feet out and back in, nothing else requires movement on this pull so you can full turret.

All you need to worry about is the 2 back to back aoes.

You can los the crashing stones.

That is what I try to do. The pyramid is my home, until it is not

Anyone know if Dominate Mind works on incorporeal affix or we stuck with shackle undead

Didn’t test. Psychic Scream doesn’t work.

Literally just Shackle Undead or Chastise if you’re Holy.

It should work because it normally affects a certain type of mob, and the point of Incorporeal is that it’s classified as every type of mob so all targeted CC works on it. But I also have not tested.

They’re immune to dominate mind.

However, shackle undead works and it has no CD so it’s not like we’re helpless.

The big problem with this affix is certain fights are really hard to deal with them cause they’ll spawn at bad times. The underrot final boss was actually kinda tough because if they spawn too far back it’s hard to see them (with 500 nameplates for the spores) and nobody can run back to CC through the ground.

I will take it over some of the winner affixes from the past I guess.

Honestly right now I don’t know if I’d take it over explosive. And I actually hated explosive.

I think it would get a lot better if bosses only spawned one - but it seems like they consistently spawn 2, and destabilize is so insanely strong that it’s a guaranteed wipe if it goes off, rather than a huge burst that you have to emergency heal.

I don’t think it was much of a problem while pulling regular mobs. Just bosses are awful, especially Tyrannical bosses. I don’t have time to Shackle a mob in the middle of a skyfall nova cast right now, and if it spawns across the room from the nova your DPS are gonna be much slower in killing the nova, which makes the damage unhealable. Lose-lose.

IDK, maybe can be solved with team comp or we’ll see some changes over the season to make it spawn closer, etc. but it still sucks.

Sounds like the main issue is where it spawns. A few classes can’t do anything meaningful to it either.

I actually don’t see why AoE CC can’t affect it. I am guessing it has to do with it being immune to damage. The thing is, most AoE CCs aren’t even good enough to deal with it alone, so why not let it work?

Just wanted to say thank you for putting this all together, it is really awesome!!! :dracthyr_blob_dance_animated:

Its not too bad of a pull.

The key killer this week in vp is the last boss.

For the second last trash pull there are two mobs that do group wide aoe damage. I just ran it on am 18 and it hits for about 40% health. The trick is that the second mob also casts the aoe a few seconds after the first. I like to renew the group, shield myself, then when the first aoe hits i radiance, shadow cov, and go into my dps rotation. If needed ill radiance a seconr time after the second hit. You can also rapture before the first and you should have enough time to pre sheild everyone a second time before the second hit. On fort i saved both pain supressions for the tank and faded myself. This week you can use it on yourself since they dont shred the tank as bad this week. Barrier is also a good spell to use before the first aoe. Usually its on cd for me at this point though since ive used it on the sparks two pulls ealier.

Beyond that you can focus the guy who casts the lightning the entire time so you know when to run it. Even that isnt super necessary though since if it targets you youll get a blue arrow above your head. Stand cloae to the grounding field so you can just walk a step in if you need to.

The biggest issue with this pull is just timing your abilities to the aoe slams that do group damage.
