In FF and EQ they do not. In The Bard’s Tale series, they were light melee fighters when they weren’t singing to buff or using their instruments to deal damage.
Bards in D&D (originally) had to dual level fighter and thief before they could be a bard, and those tended to be sword or dagger fighters.
Not sure where you’re getting “they use a bow” from, because I’ve never seen that in any iteration of a bard. Usually, they use a sword and have light armor, because they don’t tend to be front line fighters.
Yes, the chances are that they’d take from establish lore. That however does not mean that if it wasn’t in that it wont be in the game ever. That is all I’m saying. You’re saying that since it wasn’t it will never be.
And if I’ve learned anything from Blizzard and WoW is never means almost nothing.
as you saying never since they’ve never been in the RTS means some how that they’ll never be in the game. I’m not getting my hopes up, I just don’t see things not being in Warcraft as a valid reason not to put something in.
No, I like survival. Just create another spec if you want, but let us have our melee spec. It’s not the best spec in the game, but many people find it fun.
They weren’t in the RTS so they are unlikey to be in the game. Never say never.
Nothing is impossible. If blizzard suddenly has a stroke. You may get bards. But I doubt they’ll break from an easy, pre-established money making pattern.
Yes whenever someone mentions Survival Hunters abysmal representation in WoW we inevitably get several posters who LOVE survival. Too bad we never see them in the actual game.
