Fel reaver
The Murlocs in Elwynn Forest.
Thrym in northrend: He is a giant flesh titan for no reason just walking around!
Trivia
- Thrym is one of the largest creatures in World of Warcraft and can be seen from very far away.
- Thrym’s name is also based off of the giant in Norse mythology that was particularly known for stealing Thor’s hammer, Mjölnir.
- Thrym is one of the 3 mobs that can be easily seen from a good 10,000 yards or more. The others are
Putridus the Ancient, who can only be found in Icecrown and
Mobus who patrols the Abyssal Depths.
Hogger. The dude skins the flesh off your face and uses it to make his tents.
Maexxna from Naxxramas. No contest.
She is that gigantic spider boss in the arachnid quarter. Think of how many have a fear of spiders, then imagine the sheer terror of having a 50ft tall spider rampaging around town.
The scariest mob in wow is EASY. Trade Chat mobs or Goldshire mob.
Probably abominations. It is hard to say though. Really anything in Icecrown has potential to be terrifying irl. Also some of the more intelligent, wicked mobs/characters–like black dragons–might be scary to be in the vicinity of. Also, zombie trolls in general would be a bit scary–like from Sunken Temple or Tanaris.
For me, it has to be Thrym in Zul’drak.
Hogger used to be scary in-game, back in beta and vanilla when he could easily kill you. In real life, gnolls would probably be scary.
What ever happened to her? Didn’t she run off never to be seen again? Kind of eerie.
Zovaals chest
Those things could cut glass
The giant squid in Vol’Dun. I know it can’t hurt you, but I have a huge phobia of deep sea monsters.
I was watching some YouTube video like “10 ways different games keep you from traveling too far” and there was one game where you travel around on a pirate ship and when you get to the edge of the map, the ship starts to slowly break and you hear this loud thumping sound against the hull and it eventually falls apart and you die.
They never show any kind of monster attacking the ship but my imagination ran wild and I damn near had a heart attack, lol.
Thaddius in Naxx. The boss itself isn’t scary to me but the screams in the instance creep me out so I make sure he’s the first boss I kill whenever I’m in there.
The whale shark freaked me out for the longest time. It took me years to work up the courage to get the achievement.
But also, Jenafur. Could you imagine a cat being all sinister like that? “Your eyes look tasty.” /shudder
She is a spicy little chikim tender and I enjoy having her follow me around.
I nicknamed her Jenny and she goes along with my pets, Fenny and Denny.
Terokkarantula or however its spelled will always be the scariest creature in WoW for me.
I HATE spiders. Tiny ones are bad enough, but ones the size of a building? No thanks.
Edit: Maexxnas a thing I forgot, still hate this spider even more.
In the Kul Tiran Allied Race recruitment questline it’s heavily suggested that she sacrificed someone’s dog and turned them into a wicker beast, but other than that she just disappears. My guess is she’ll show up in a future expansion all grown up as a dungeon boss.
I get that way with scary prayers. Ever play Outlast 2? Well theres a sequence where you’re trying to hide from a priest and he’s just casually singing to himself
O be careful little eyes what you see, O be careful little eyes what you see.
There’s a Father up above
And He’s looking down in love
So be careful little eyes what you see.
O be careful little hands what you do, O be careful little hands what you do.
There’s a Father up above
And He’s looking down in love
So be careful little hands what you do.
O be careful little mouth what you say, O be careful little mouth what you say.
There’s a Father up above
And He’s looking down in love
So be careful little mouth what you say.
Eugh I still get the heebie jeebies. The context is what scared me. I just can’t go into detail cuz Outlast games are just. Not forum friendly lol
the feral Worgen that spread their disease via bite would be quite terrifying
