Scarab Lord bug

No

You guys started your instances before the patch was live, it’s a skill issue.

welp, there’s always NEXT aq gate opening.

I don’t know why this would cause quests to be removed from people’s logs.

it was a pre patch instance - why would it work with the post patch quest, removing from log is weird I admit but the alternative is no head drop anyways, I’d assume at least this was a bandaid fix from when we had SoD + the chronoboons

Why is it launching at 3PDT on a Thursday anyways? If this launched on normal reset day this would not be an issue

Every Phase for Anniversary has been launched on Thursday, why change it now for one single phase?

Just had a fresh raid ID, some people had the quest disappear, others didnt. Maybe you had to get the quest from Silithus after 6:00 PM EDT?

If people had these quests from the battleground mishaps where people were playing with people from SoD and got it shared to them from there and that’s why they’re disappearing then that is truly something else.

Is it true only one person can get the head once a week?

1 head per server, this explains everything

yes, broodlord drops 1 head. Hence the name of the quest, ā€œThere can only be oneā€

Can a moderator mark this thread as solved? I think we got it all figured out

how is it solved? its not still no head, was only one on quest.

Only 1 head, there can only be one

its one per raid not one per server

This happened to my guild. Our Scarab Lord candidate was losing the quest upon entering the raid, we noticed right before pulling Broodlord. We left the raid for over 30 minutes and he created a raid with a different character that hadn’t been in our raid. He entered the raid with his character only, and the quest remained in his log. We all reformed under his group and killed Broodlord and he got the head.

Thanks for this info. That pretty much confirms the bug. Blizzard won’t do a damn thing about it sadly.

With the release of the Ahn’Qiraj War Effort content, a bug caused a small number of players who entered Blackwing Lair just before the content was unlocked to be unable to complete the quest ā€œOnly One May Riseā€.

To address this and allow affected players to complete ā€œOnly One May Riseā€, we are temporarily updating Blackwing Lair to have a daily reset.

Blackwing Lair will revert to having its standard 7 day reset period at 23:00 UTC on 7/12/2025 for all regions. That will be 4:00 p.m. PDT / 7:00 p.m. EDT in this region.

So to be clear, everyone is free to complete BWL daily and get as many quests done as possible without repercussion from blizzard?
