I then tried to locate the game and it gave me the message, “The folder doesn’t contain the correct version of this game. Please check the installation path and try again.”
Any help is much appreciated.

Have you tried manually navigating the folders and setting the game directory that way?
If that still doesn’t work, we should try clearing out the cached data from the app, and let it rebuild those files.
