But the soundtrack of it was absolutely phenomenal. Flying trough frostfire ridge and the game hits you with
Not only that but
and
are also amazing.
I sometimes put the wod soundtrack in the background, the best ost of any expansion in my opinion. The only one that come close is the mop one.

Additionally, the pvp gearing system was really great! I wish they would copy it, copy 6.2 for 9.2 please

I had a lot of fun with WoD pvp (battlegrounds) and raids. Wasn’t a fan of the dungeons though. I really liked the leveling too.
But music-wise…I think Wrath of the Lich King is the best. So nostalgic, brings back some amazing memories…the golden era of wow. Insane music:

I also wish it , but having hight hopes aways lead in disapointment
Not sure if it’s WoD specific, but the music at the Dark Portal where you meet Khadgar in the Blasted Lands is amazingly simple and eery. It’s also reused in Exiles Reach when you go into one of the caves. Haven’t been able to figure out what it’s called.

I liked WoD in general.
Do I think they overpromised and underdelivered? Absolutely.
But, the stuff we DID have in WoD was amazing, minus the garrison because we were kinda all hoping for player housing and not a mini city.

WoDs storyline (draenor stuff itself, not the time travel) was really fun. The leveling experience was also superb. The way they made they made the hidden treasures, the way bonus areas worked felt really good. They never did recreate that feeling again.
And the music, my god. The ashran battle music for both Horde and Alliance are so spot on.
Also possibly unpopular opinion but I loved ashran even though it did have the wacky horde - games, alliance-leader dynamic.

It’s hard to hear the first part of it because of the dialog in this video, but it starts at 6:13 and is the piano music.

I actually really enjoyed WoD and it was the last expansion I really did alot of stuff in. Since then I have dabbled here and there with each expansion.
Okay… i think i found it.
I’ve been saying this from the start that I’ve always loved WoD and will always defend it as one of my favorite expansions. Everything about it was phenomenal. WoD’s failure was that too much content was cut and left not enough for players to do.

Dude it could have been so good.

This song gave me goosebumps everytime I heard it. The most epic moment would be pushing Tremblade and this comes up. I would intentionally disable and re-enable music to have this pop up. Fighting to this is one of the most memorable moments in the game for me.

WoD has the best leveling experience of any expansion. It also has the best and most under utilized feature of any expansion, that being garrisons. Among all the various expansion features, the one with the most overall potential that could have and should have been carried forth into future expansions and kept relevant to current content is garrisions.
Had the developers been given the time and resources they needed to give WoD the polish and extras it deserved, it would hands down be the best expansion ever. Nothing else would even come close.

For me, Warlords was great. It marked my return to the game after a long break from Pandaria (before Siege of Orgrimmar period), and is where I played a Shaman for the very first time. The new character models were a big sell to me. The leveling was fantastic, storytelling, OST, etc. Really liked the garrison too.
One of the benefits of being a casual player is that certain content droughs or design flaws don’t affect me at all, which is one of the reasons I appreciate WOD so much.

This bit of music right here is what keeps my playable arakkoa dreams alive

The teams that work on the environment and music have been phenomenal every single expansion but usually don’t get the credit they deserve because we’re too busy complaining about systems.
BFA have the best soundtrack in the game , Atal Dazar + Boralus + Dazar’alol>>>
I liked having an active flowing world pvp zone like Ashran. I liked the pvp gearing system, although I am also happy with the current 9.1.5 pvp gearing system as well. I liked being able to do content that was fun but not mandatory (other than leveling to max ofc). Since Tol Barad is not in the epic bg roster and it is also a dead zone, I think it would be nice if Tol Barad was made to scale for max level players and provide relevant rewards for max level players in pvp as well as the unlocked pve content for the side that wins the battle. Similar could be said about battle for Naz’Jatar, making it scale for max level players in pvp, but it needs to provide pvp rewards that are actually meaningful
