Save WoW PvP

This is the fundamental problem with PVP in WoW. You have multiple secondary stats that have thresholds/caps and the only way to get them to those caps efficiently is with suitable gearing. From an RPG perspective, where your armor is won in contest, this seems a satisfyingly cohesive form of meeting those thresholds. But what must be done, for fairness, is a point allocation system where you can meet one or two thresholds but miss out on a third. This is fraught with its own concerns, such as overpowered classes having huge advantages when meeting their thresholds, or classes that can just stack crit with no diminishing returns. And how do you gauge the support class contributions when the skills they bring aren’t impacted much by anything but talent choice? Interesting questions to ask for a system we’ll never get, I guess. But it would be fun to see them try and work this out. The RPG in PVP is what’s killing it. Get rid of the RPG.
