I feel very much the same. I’ll check out what they offer, but not pre-ordering this time. I’ll wait to see what’s really in the expac and not what is being just hyped up.
Have to admit I’m a little surprised. I thought Microsoft would come in and scrap the current project and “go back to formula” with their own ideas. Looking forward to what the expansion will be.
My eyes hurt just thinking about it. Kind of like Diablo Immortal.

I’m thinking its just going to be a mobile version of the mission table.
I just can’t stand to look at that small screen that long. My eyesight isn’t what it used to be.
Or your brain knows better.
A bit early for that sort of thing - maybe in another expansion once the acquisition actually has had time to set in.
Even then, Microsoft has been largely hands off on it’s acquisitions unlike, say, EA, so that sort of thing is questionable anyways.

Bets on the mobile being like the isometric auto-battle MMOS like Warhammer Odyssey and being a fork of Diablo Immortal.
I imagine so. They did exact same thing with wod. When they realized it wasn’t going well it was just kinda “ok all hands on next expansion, this ones a wash”. then we got legion after it which most consider a success.
Of course they tried doing legion systems over and over again and that’s not successful. Some recognize that as beginning of a lot of the current problems too. So it’s hard to say if expansion after shadowlands will be as good as many felt legion was (the one after wod)

You sure? Because i doubt they would let shadowlands run over 2 years without new content. I’d say they announce it Next month on the 19th like they said, then toss up pre orders same day etc, a week or so later start alpha and so on. And it launches November or December this year. 2023 is already going to he huge, they got overwatch 2 and Diablo 4. So they wouldn’t want to step over thier toes. They would want to capitalize on it all.
Am I the only one that sees the map and is excited that maybe it’s a hint that we’re returning to Azeroth?

The problem with this logic is that it perpetuates the cycle. They never fix anything so much as move on to the next project. In effect, you guarantee poor quality by never ensuring any sort of check on their work.

So the ‘future’ of Warcraft is a made in China mobile game? It’s a good thing they clarified this now and not during the big reveal like Diablo Immortal. This Warcraft fan doesn’t want a mobile game.
