Saurfang is a traitor and deserves no mercy

I hope that was in jest?

In fact the Kirin Tor mages were looking into a cure but couldn’t find one.

I seem to see this argument daily on the forums, and I’m not going to say you’re wrong.

However

It appears so many Sylvanas fan boys accuse Saurfang of this and I’m still baffled considering Sylvanas literally did the same thing, only instead she DID kill herself and give up. Strange right?

You, sir and/or ma’am, have lost all privilege to your name. Turn it in immediately.

I like to point this out a lot… Saurfang at least tried to take Alliance down with him. Sylvanas flung herself off of a tower to her death without thinking about her people or anyone but herself.

But Saurfang being suicidal is laugh worthy.

It may be that many here don’t remember, or even didn’t know, that someone at Blizzard has actually publicly stated that the story will always be considered second in importance to game-play. Given the basis of this expansion, they want conflict to be paramount…so even if the believability of the plot and characters go into the trashcan, the `writers’ are going to continue on this path.

I know I’m not alone in considering this approach a very bad idea…but it seems to work fine for the segment of gamers that care very little (or not at all) for subtle story-telling.

Exactly.

The dude is old, and haunted by his son’s death in a horrific war. His very way of life is changing as his view of the Horde goes away.

Call me crazy but I don’t blame an old orc trying to go down the way he always viewed a glorious death his whole life.

You misunderstand, I do not blame the humans for the lethargy, however, the mass imprisonment is genocide.

Probably until you people understand what the term ā€œgenocideā€ means or I get tired of explaining this.

So then, not the Orcs rank and file? Then we’re right back to the dilemma.

Bring back Garrosh and then he and Sylvanas can have a magic baby that takes over the universe!

Now imagine if this time, Saurfang throws his axe and hits Sylvannas in the back.

Definitely not crazy. I feel much the same way, and am at the point of exhaustion watching he Horde be butchered because one faction has to be the villains.

I feel for Saurfang, too. His life is quite the tragic rollercoaster. I hope he can find peace soon.

The definition of Genocide is the deliberate act of eliminating a population. How are the Alliance reducing the population if the Orcs are withering and dying of something the Kirin Tor couldn’t cure?

By your definition of genocide, literally the only way the Alliance wouldnt be guilty of it was if they just let the orcs off scot-free for invading their world and pillaging their kingdoms.

Characters get stronger and gain new abilities. Characters make choices in tense political situations, space goats are less prominent now that their ancient enemy is defeated, but I’d raise you that they were bad writing when they got retconned into the game at the outset, so, a wash on that front in my book.

Anyway, you just keep highlighting developments you don’t like, then label it bad writing.

Saurfang is a Daddy and you need to shut your mouth before it gets shut for you.

No, you shut YOUR mouth while you’re speaking to me.

So the Horde only gets stronger and the Alliance only gets weaker? You don’t consider new stories going against everything pre-established with absolutely no lead up bad writing?

I’m sorry, then that’s the best I’ve got for you. I’m glad you enjoy WoW’s writing. Many cannot so that’s a feat in itself.

Just goes right back to what I said earlier. Again, the withering isn’t their fault, but the imprisonment is. The Alliance is indefinitely containing them in prison preventing them from having their society.

If the dog continues to insult the absolute Silver Fox Daddy that is Varok Saurfang then he will be muzzled that is all

Their society? They were alien invaders from another planet. They destroyed their own world in an attempt to escape the Legions wrath.

The Alliance imprisoned them because they’d seen enough bloodshed. For someone against genocide, you sure seem to take issue with the fact they weren’t exterminated right then and there.
