Yah! Thought that was him. I remember the first time I seen a video of him performing that song. It was epic. Still one of the coolest bits of wow nostalgia for me.

I hope they don’t put in any incompetent progressive in the name of “inclusion”, companies have been suffering billionaire losses because of these policies. The guy who is leaving is part of the soul of Warcraft, they say he even came up with the idea for the franchise’s name a long time ago. It’s sad to see many good names leaving blizzard and bad ones staying, like that guy who doesn’t win applause at blizzcon.

He always has been. He wasn’t exclusively making art for blizzard.
You can still catch him performing at the Darkmoon Faire every month.
Still now he isn’t on a deadline.

Surprised it took this long TBH, kinda figured he’d be purged during CosbyGate for not aligning with nuBlizz “values.” Might even be retiring on his own terms, which is hilarious considering how fast they pushed Rob Pardo out over some lukewarm comments to an ambush journalist. Meanwhile Samwise over here inviting Corpsegrinder to Blizzcon, making Morhaime issue public apologies for his rhetoric, and staying on for another decade. 
You mean a woman, LGTBQ person, or anyone who isn’t a white male because people of those descriptions only get hired for diversity reasons, never talent, right?

I doubt it. Metzen didn’t exactly do that.
Samwise has been quiet for years. Even during the legal battles with the employees, he seemed to just keep his head down and work.
He’s not a professional trained game developer, either. He just kind of learned what he needed to as he went along.
If he works in anything going forward, it will probably be art related projects like comic books, more album covers, etc.
He is credited with creating and directing the art styles across Blizzard games.
Godspeed to him. For any time I’ve not enjoyed wow it was NEVER because of the art direction. Wow’s art department has pretty much always knocked it out of the park.
