Sad quests

What are some of the sad quests you can do in wow? I feel like doing them just to read them as I complete it.

You have to complete several other quests in the Badlands before you get to this one, but it’s worth it.

Shady Rest Inn questline.

I think you need to speak to Nidormi to revert to pre-Mists Theramore to start it.

Icecrown Northrend: I can’t remember the quest name, it has been a long time, but I remember the name of the person you are trying to save: Crusader Bridenbrad.

I think the quest comes from Tyrion Fordring (still mad the he was so insignificantly killed off by the game writers). You can probably look it up to get more info. It has been too long to remember all of the details. I only did it once, on one of my toons and never did the quest on any of my alts afterwards.

This one really stuck with me. It is a longish chain of quests that has you going all over the map to complete different parts of it and then ends so sadly. Really left me feeling quite sad and is still stuck in my brain after all these years.

Perhaps not a quest, but here’s a list of all currently known in-game memorials;

I’ve visited each one, it’s a very sweet thing that Blizzard did for them.

There’s a quest called logging in. You can do it daily. Multiple times a day.

The sadder thing is to keep paying and playing something you feel this way about.

I can’t fly over Mulgore without swooping down and giving Ahab a wave.

He would have been 26 now.

For me, the Runas questline in Azsuna and the main story questline in Val’sharah where Ysera dies were pretty sad. Also the one where you rescue Wrathion’s egg, but Rheastrasza is killed.

Runas questline in Azsuna, Suna Silentstrike questline in Townlong steppes, The temple of Elune chain in Val’sharah (no spoilers but a real tear jerker), Yrel’s campaign in alt Draenor, Pamela Redpath Eastern Plaguelands, tale of Morgan Ladimore Darkshire, White chapel Drustvar in the cemetery and the mine after doing the Abby Lewis quests both have some real waterworks.

Pretty much every quest in Eastern Plaguelands. Especially the storyline of the Redpath family. Little Pamela is still there after all this time…

Pamela Redpath in Eastern Plaguelands.

Sad yet touching at the end.

For Love Eternal in Darkshore, gets me every time  wowhead.com/quest=963/for-love-eternal

Can’t believe it took this long to be mentioned. The Redpaths take the cake for me.

Also Uuna’s story isn’t so much a quest per se, but it’s heartbreaking too. I’ll never forgive them for lying about learning more about her and her family in Shadowlands.
