Saberon for A Race?

Goldshire becomes Limsa Lominsa overnight.

As cool as Saberonn would be they’re completely irrelevant to the story and make no sense for anyone to go seeking them out.

I’m all for saberon allied race, lore or not. But I’d rather have the feral appearance back as a glyph if they really don’t want to give it a lore story to add them as allied race.

Like the original Worgen? I’m sure the Saberon could be “tamed” (just need a laser pointer)

In the case of the Worgen was because the curse drive them insane and violent

While Saberon are naturaly like that

after the Mag’har were rescued they learned of how it was that the horde came to withdraw them from certain doom
with the new council of the horde and the alliance once again upon speaking terms they realize that gathering allies against the coming storms is a good idea

Fareeya and a handful of naaru having seen that standing together is more potent weapon against the void than they once believed commissions their lightforged to go to this alternate land and fight the lightbound under Yrel, to bring as many of them in as possible while the alliance and horde work on evacuating what they can

as the seige engines bear down upon them alliance and horde soldiers, mostly comprised of azerite empowered war machines fight
the ogres, arakkoa and saberon are reluctant at first but as the lightbound approach cutting a vicious path through some of their best they agree to flee through the portals

the ogres take a liking to stonetalon and ally with the horde (until their footing is rebuilt)

the Arakkoa wander for a time but settle in silverpine with the alliance agreeing in exchange for their joining

the saberon being independent seek out a land of their own ultimately stumbling upon an island between kul tiras and zandalar that no one is using and set up their own little kingdom, little their cubs/young go seek out adventure and glory by fighting alongside the factions in their petty skirmishes that continue while they claim peace

Not popping in your living room should be requirement for Allied Races, and Saberon don’t met it.

Saberon are more of a primal / savage race like Murlocs. If we were to get any other race from AU Draenor, the only thing I could really think of would be Arrakoa, and only if they found kinship with the Sin’dorei over worhip of the Sun.

I really don’t see that happening either, but the Saberon have no reason to join the factions, and I really don’t even know what kind of shape they would be in now that Draenor is basically under heretical light worship with Yrel’s Crusade…

they can’t be, the crazy light forged space goats purged the planet of all life, they dead now seeing as they were viewed as a mongrel race…
(reskinned orc quest line)

WoW will never reach that extremely high level of culture.

it doesn’t take much to change that though, the bronze can still travel time rather freely, knowing what the lightbound did there’s nothing actually preventing morality from having us go and try to save as many as we can from them

I don’t like the idea of them giving the female saberon the female worgen model. I just want to be a tough cat dude in my raid group.

lion skin version of it has a fluffy luxurious lion’s mane.

I agree with this. It would be sick to have them in the game, but they are a race from an alternate timeline of WoW that doesn’t have any presence outside of Draenor.

I might be in the minority but I’m not interested in a saberon allied race. I’d much rather druids receive the saberon form as a playable option again.

Id love it. I miss the claw form from wod. Kind of wish they didnt make them so dumb in wod tbh, cats are pretty intellegent (going in their dens etc). Wow is like only mmo option that doesnt have playable cat race like eso, gw2, star trek, online, two options on ff14, etc.

As a great scientist once said.

Life finds a way

No more furry races.

I wouldn’t say no to saberon for Horde. They do use the worgen model and we’re due a worgen model allied race. My only problem is… why? Other than one garrison follower, saberon have been hostile to everyone for as long as they’ve been in the game, and they’ve never been shown to be all that bright or social. They’ve also been pretty much absent from the game since, like WoD. So, seems like a stretch to add them as an allied race.

On the other hand, void elves. So, anything’s possible.

they’ve shown to have a rather complex social pecking order
and capable of atleast internal communication and organization
both on a tribal and intertribal level

why add them? idk, people liked the saberon model and the toy is still quite popular
tbh though i don’t really care either way
however it’s a rather simple fix, and even with their comparatively limited (seemingly, but they’re also mostly hostile to us) it takes little more than a short dialogue and quest chain to make the reasons make sense

the only reasons not to make every race playable in the end is the amount of work required to keep things like armor in line
however with ornamental races such as the ogre, saberon, arakoaa, sethrak…even the mechagnomes had they not shut the door on it already
one can create more customization options for the individual races…everything from height to various color options for pieces of the ornaments
and then just be done with it aside from weapon models…and even then some such as the saberon are “savage” races and can be said to use their claws in a similar fashion to a druid cat form for every available class

a key part of why to do it though is…it’s an extremely easy race for the slot pandas take a neutral slot
as the models and animations all already exist in game
