Saberon as a potential Allied Race

You’re welcome. :+1:

Yes, I was just giving an additional interesting option since we have the neat manasaber models.

A saberon with the purpley pink glowing fur color and arcane tattoo lines as a mage perhaps even with the ability to change into a nightborne would be a neat addition to give the horde something similar to a worgen.

There’s no reason the normal nonchanging Saberon with more natural fur colors couldn’t be a thing as well.

People were also showing concern with them being dimwits. So having shapechanging nightborne solves that issue.

Is there a source for this? From what I saw, they bailed to the barrens as soon as they arrived on Azeroth. We have no idea if they’re chilling on their own or what.

That’s silly (whoever said that.) We see talking saberon around Draenor. We even take quests from them and recruit at least two of them as followers.

Edit: I just mean not all of them are dimwits.

I thought there was some still outside of Ogrimmar.

You mean there’s three total that talk. And barely in complete sentences. One of them is naked even.

So is the majority of my server :slightly_frowning_face:

A replace! one of the reasons why BfA’s allied races for alliance are a deconstruction of expectations! Kultirans that have a huge stomach instead of giant Viking!

Purple Bloood elves who have no feeling for alliance rather than any other type of horde rancidity free elf! a bunch of mutilating gnomes instead of some other race that brings a sense of achievement and hype to them!

With things like that, is it still weird that sethraks are difficult for ally? Because we are in a position to always have less than we could, sabons are hard for the alliance!

Any new race we see is more likely to go horde!
Alliance? Recolors, replaces and placebos! Yay!

If someday sabers will be in the game for players, you can be sure it won’t be on ally!
The Alliance is sure to receive some race of immature and radioactive samurai slugs!

They’re H.P Lovecraft samurai. And you can’t convince me otherwise. This alone makes them amazing.

Pirates! Samurai have another culture, much more interesting!
Kultirans are just pirates!

We’re maritime Britain you mutt.

LOL! Like Fracis Drake!

It’s all pretty pathetic, really. Oh, the nightborne are horde because… … … why exactly? the highmountain are horde because… …someone chided that dumb cow about the dangers of demons or something? there’s literally no reason for it other than “let’s just give them to the horde.” same with the zones lost in cata and going forward, it’s been one-sided for quite some time.

And even though I can understand Darnassus burning could result in Darkshore being contested (least until a new tree is grown, which would take one seed and like 5 minutes of druid magic), how come Hillsbrad isn’t up for grabs? Undercity is dead , well more dead than usual meaning any connecting zones that were horde should be at the very least contested, especially Tirisfall seeing as both UC and brill were wiped out. Roaming bands of elite scarlet monks should be running roughshod murdering townsfolk, npcs, and guards all over TG Silverpine and Hillsbrad. but yet! nothing. business as usual. It doesn’t even make sense for darkshore to be a warfront, none of the prelaunch story even makes sense. I get that there’s some sort of something I can go read, but this is a videogame, not a foreign movie. Show, don’t tell.

Besides, how can blizzard expect that alliance players would not group up, form raids and kill sylvannas on her snail-like stroll through Darkshore up to darnassus? sorry, no. if a boss and especially a faction leader is out in the open it would take five minutes tops to get people together to go whoop her butt. and with her being killed constantly she couldn’t have had time to burn the tree. Even if the tree did burn, what level do lowbie mages learn the stormwind portal? like 10? there were plenty of ways to evacuate everyone, but once again blizzard just says “nah, they died, go read this crap that we totally didn’t make up”

More recently the whole alliance fleet following three horde ships? even baby’s first strategy guide says that’s a stupid idea, take equal or slightly more than equal firepower, no one, not even a faction leader written by blizzard would be that stupid. The Zandalari fleet, the zandalari, a seafaring people are smarter than that, too. One would not berth their entire fleet in one city at one time, and having the bulk of the alliance fleet destroyed because the bulk of the zandalari fleet was destroyed is not a tit-for-tat, Blizzard, it’s lazy writing.

If they had legitimate reasons for these things being so and not because some fanfic writer they hired to make sense of their convoluted stories says so then it would be fine. If both factions had the same cutscenes in Battle for trollton, even it would clear some stuff up. But a magical mcguffin water draining spell? Guards leaving the tidestone completely unguarded? probably a lot of other things I forgot like Illidan dashing off into space because his people need him?

Look, this game would probably not exist without bad decisions, I get that, the thing is everything listed here: the allied races, the various storylines, the loss of ships is the videogame equivalent of a thanos snap and it’s really really effin stupid.

I’m not complaining directly to you, mind, it was a jumping off point for this rant. :B also /rant

You need to work on your definition of “literally”

there is reasons, you may not like then, but there is reasons.

I’d rather have the Tree Men (Botani).
Their plant magicks could be of great use to the Horde.

It’s cringey that you think Twilight came up with that concept.

I blame the media and a niece of mine whose greatest agony in life was choosing between ‘Team Edward’ and ‘Team Jacob’. Family still giggles about it, including her.

Actually Saberon were specifically mentioned as coming over with the Iron Hor… I mean Mag’har…after they joined the Horde in a dev QnA. So there are actually already Horde aligned Saberon on Azeroth.

They came through the portal along with botani as stowaways. They then proceeded to run off into the distance. They are unaffiliated at this current time.

This set them up for addition at some point. And they are a nearly blank slate to take them in practically any direction they want.
