Saberon as a potential Allied Race

If saberon became playable hope its on horde, alliance having both worgens and saberons would feel strange and not necessary, i want those furries memes too

Horde are getting Vulpera. Only right the Alliance gets a bestial race as well.

The alliance already have worgens…

beast races don’t match with the alliance theme, Saberon scream horde

I don’t know. I think a race of lion-people match the Alliance just fine. The Horde’s got Tauren and will get Vulpera. Let the Alliance have the Saberon.

After how many of them I killed so I could rip out their claws and buy a pig, I highly doubt they’ll ever come to the Horde.

I like the look of the Saberon model. But for me to excited to play one I’ll need to see a major upgrade in fashion, culture and lore.

TBH as things stand now I’d much rather play Sethrak or Night Elf Worgen.

The only npc that exists with lore is Alleria and yet the others are not even her!
And saberons at least exist as a race longer than one that arose from an accident and should not even have more than 100 members, since the event that created them cannot even be reproduced!

and it’s no use saying that there are blood elves studying void, because studying nuclear energy doesn’t make me radioactive!
Studying void doesn’t make anyone acquire their properties any more than someone studying arcane!

Alleria is the only void elf that really exists because it has absorbed a fallen Naaru!

The others are the result of an accident that no one even knows how happened! From something that was interrupted in the creation process!
They don’t even look like Alleria!

Even before Alleria appeared, no Umbric existed in history!
If that didn’t stop this character from being created, I don’t see why it can’t be done the same for any other race that devs think they might invent!

If Devs created a shallow lore to justify purple blood elves in the alliance, they can create a lore and leaders for the saberons if Blizz like! Or not!

I only know that saberons are no more ridiculous as a hypothetical playable race, than a bunch of purple-painted blood elves from Silvermoon, the alliance!

it would not be necessary! Many of the saberons, among other peoples of Draenor, took advantage of the open portal to the maghar and fled to Azeroth!

Shandris has appeared in novels and the game before WoD, man. She’s a well known sentinel of the night elves. She’s the adopted daughter of Malfurion and Tyrande. Come on, man. You gotta do better than that.

I think you’re the one who needs to do better, honestly. If a new race can’t be added because it doesn’t have any prominent characters featuring in novels and across the game’s lifespan, then we’re pretty much tapped out and Blizzard may as well announce there won’t be any new Allied Races ever.

And yet the Void Elves still have more lore than the Saberon. Look, I love cat people do, but we must not let our kinks cloud our reasoning.

Technically, it’s not time travel anymore. It’s just dimensional travel.

Blizzard can and will do whatever they want. They’re not beneath retconning an entire expansion to make something work. But I think there are other races in this game with greater prominence that would be more deserving of an Allied race call.

The whole lore of void belves comes from the blood elves who are lending something to the stuffing!

And? Blood Elves share their lore with night elves.

Well don’t be shy and name one!

Ogres.

Only one of the staple races through all the warcraft games and still not in the game

Ogres are in game. Just not playable. Yet. I imagine the Kul Tiran rig will be used for them. Rexxar uses it after all.

Another staple race in the game that isn’t playable yet would be the Wildhammer Dwarves. Also the helves.

It was already suggested! There is even an open topic suggesting ogres!
but it doesn’t look very active lately!
does not seem to be a much acclaimed taste by players!

It needs more promotion but there don’t seem to be many players publicizing the race or showing a lot of interest, making it seem like it’s not much of a Blizzard focus right now!

More people talking about ogres!
I leave ogres to those who care that it defends its inclusion as a new race added to the game!
