Tiers/seasons shouldn’t be as long as they currently are.
Nobody wants to be on the same patch for 8-12 months.

Enjoy your 12 weeks of season 4. Kek
New dragon that’ll probably be super rare, purple elemental, and the slime cat.
I am happy.
Eternal glad mount? Only saw 4 mounts added for 9.2.5. Not counting the obvious slime cat that’s in the database with a lower ID number but I am fairly sure it has no pushed to live spellID.
Yep.
Wish I had skills and patience for that. Too quick to anger even before duelist range.
November 22nd and 29th are my guesses for the launch dare with prepatch starting on the 25th or 1st of november.
Assuming it will be this year. Ive been in the gaming industry long enough to know games can and will be pushed back out of nowhere.
AOTC/CE Helya were still available after Nighthold released, even though Nighthold gave higher ilvl gear.
Yeah.
I don’t know why Blizzard wouldn’t just nerf the 1-shot mechanics slightly and then just otherwise let people overpower the DPS checks instead of omega-nerfing the fights and then invalidating it. It’s so weird.
My only logical guess is Blizzard doesn’t want confounding variables during their experiment. They don’t want people to be progression raiding during Season 4 and want to see what happens to the game when progression raiding doesn’t exist for several months.
My logical guess is that nobody at Blizzard knows what the hell they’re doing.
Just another sign they’re rushing Dragonflight out before it’s ready due to the unexpected issues of Diablo Immortal in China and it not meeting it’s financial goals.
I know there are some staunch defenders of nuBlizz here on the forums who don’t want to hear it, but the writing is on the wall.
How is a 2 year expansion with only 3 raid tiers “rushing” the following expansion?
Ce has always gone away when the next season starts. What you’re thinking of is the drop rate to mythic mounts. The drop rate will drop from 100% for 2 to drop down to 0.1% that 1 will drop.
Same way that Shadowlands was rushed out when everyone in beta was saying it wasn’t ready.
Helya AOTC/CE was still available after Nighthold released, even though Nighthold dropped higher ilvl loot than Trial of Valor.
Youve had plenty of time to do it
FYI November 24th is Thanksgiving.
They’re going to want people coming to work to put out any fires caused by the pre-patch.
As such, it’ll most likely be November 15th for pre-patch and December 6-13 for DF launch.
My current working theory is that Blizzard originally intended to release Dragonflight early next year and set up an experimental “Season 4” to fill the lengthy end game. Then something happened (I’m thinking that Blizzard was able to keep their original timetable, since I was originally expecting a December/January release) and Blizzard committed to a 2022 release,.
Ultimately, this is why I hate FOMO. MMORPGs are about the long engagement. FOMO is all about instant gratification. If items didn’t go away, but simply became small % drops or only appeared in end-game challenge content, no one would be fretting.
But yeah, Seasons 3 and 4 were intended to address a longer-than-avergae end game and then Blizzard realized they could deliver on time, which truncated Season 3 to give time for Season 4’s design to go through its paces.
Thats fair but i still think the 22nd is a potential launch date. Its not unheard of to work thanksgiving.
My dad did it when he was a manage and outages occurred that required immediate attention.
Im not putting all my eggs in one basket though and wouldnt be mad if it was later.
Ok. Idk id im out of touch or what but i am seeing FOMO thrown around all over lately. Wth is this new buzz word?
Agreed, FOMO sucks.
