S4 M0 brick wall intentional?

Honestly the ilvl jump from heroic dungeons to m0 isn’t close enough imo. Its a pretty large jump of 476 to 493. Especially because m0’s are on a weekly reset.

Outdoors cache activities can give Veteran gear upgradeable to 502 ilvl.

I usually PUG with 480-485 players for M0. Some dungeons are not bad, Ruby Life Pool is trickier for the PUGs because you have to be more careful with mechanics.

You’re both illustrating the problem I stated originally. Have we had to do this at all this expansion up until season 4? I surely haven’t, and it feels like I should now, I don’t need to but man would it make it a mile easier.

And if we do have to do this now, why is there no communication in-game? I’m not ruling out it shouldn’t be the way it is. I’m stating that the timing and no-communication in game for such a huge change mid expansion was a bad idea.

The easy way to fix this is to scale heroic dungeons up in difficulty and throw the m0 mechanics in. That ensures a smooth transition in both knowledge and expected power from the dungeon.

In a vacuum sure. There are other sources of gear though.

S3 M0 - M+6 were useless.
S3 M+7-M+11 could have been the new S4 Heroics.

Either way, getting gear to run the current m0 is laughably easy with veteran track gear being showered on you from events and lfr.

Do M0s still have their lock-out?

That’s the only issue I really see with it, tbh. I think the “mythic squish” was needed, it was a little silly to be able to skip over heroics and jump right into the m+ keys.

I think it would have been better to have current rotation’s M0 not lock out, but overall the system seems to be better. I’m building up a new alt to run them this season, and for once I actually have to take her through some heroics to replace some old questing greens. I think that’s a nice change, making heroics relevant, but it’s just my take on the issue.

I agree, I think m0’s at this point should be on a daily lockout like heroics or create their own LFD queue for it. But at that point just get rid of heroic dungeons or replace m0’s with heroic dungeons. New m0’s that is. The fact m+ dungeons aren’t on even a dailiy lockout but m0’s are has always been a weird concept to me.

Did you miss their news article about the new Dungeon scaling? It is meant to be harder and to create a progression path beyond Heroic.

M0 = M10

I didn’t miss it. I think you’re purposely missing my point about the communication not being in-game somewhere. The expectation has been for 3 seasons, all expansions prior to now. And they change it mid expansion, without so much as a reference in game. I’m completely aware of how the dungeon changes work.

My peeve with THIS dev team is they say one thing and do another; they claim they want to make the game more friendly for casual players and they want Mythics to be more accessible for players who want to slowly get into M+, but they move S4 M0 up to same level as M10 in Season 3. So my question is how does that make Mythics more accessible to casual players?

Yes, which I understand your point. But heroics aren’t, I understood you making the point to gear up to m0’s, but if your point is from m0’s to m+, then you make a valid point.

I haven’t seen the Season 4 splash screen in-game… but nothing changed in terms of progression. Players need to run what they can, go where they get upgrades… if they expect to continue clearing +3-5 content but now they can’t anymore because the game changed is “their problem”, their content still exist and are welcome to try a +2-3…

Everyone had a chance to read the news about their games on the launcher or the games website.

I also think they should put M0’s in the LFG along heroic dungeons.

So the Dev Team purposely made M0 harder to access, but they claim they want more casual players to access Mythics. So, which is it?
