It’s just so unheard of for someone to be top tier in everything.
I mean, I remember that one guy was on the news (last year?) because he “completed” WoW, so I know it’s possible.
The amount of work it would take to get everything…
The sus comment was more an “off the cuff” remark and not meant as a “OMG he is cheating” than anything else.
It wouldn’t surprise me if they did work for Blizzard though, cause I have to admit, doing everything they have takes an insane level of determination.
Can you imagine, being like a world first raider.
Then on top of that, being top tier pvp.
And then mastering pet battles.
And being a hardcore dungeon runner.
Hammering out all the holidays.
Doing every profession to max.
And everything else, every patch, for the entire games existence?
Feats of strength and everything.
My hats off to them, I dunno when they even sleep.
Daggers didnt drop for me on heroic so i killed the boss on normal and lfr just for them not not drop there either… salt aside i couldve upgraded them to heroic if they had dropped.
This reset will be interesting with the tokens. I’ve seen a video or two of it, and it seems like they’re going to have the weapon raid drops for purchase. That’s really cool, but I think we only get 3 choices for the whole season, so choose wisely, but that’s still way better than nothing. So I like this system and hope they continue with it.
Because they can upgrade an item from a lower difficulty.
Say Antumbra is your BiS weapon - you can get it from LFR/Normal and then use your tokens from either heroic or mythic to upgrade it to the respective ilevel.
It’s just more chances each week to get a piece of BiS gear which is relevant ONLY because of the new upgrade tokens. It’s insanely awesome.
I disagree with this in that I hate m+ but had to do it because guildies complained I wasn’t putting in the effort even though my dps was still in top few. The state the game is in now, you have to trudge through the same dungeon over and over to farm for drops just to raid. I wish I could just raid twice a week and not play anything else in this boring game.
They need to increase drop rates and just make the gear better like it always was (the trinkets this year are horrendous). Hell I’d even say make the fights hard af but guaranteed drops.
You’re only doing heroic raid, I wouldn’t worry about that. If they want you to do more to progress your character and you don’t, find another guild.
Even the mythic and CE guilds I’ve been in don’t require you to farm for certain pieces, they just ask people run 1-4 +15s for extra loot from your vault so they can gear the raid faster and progress faster.
You say the game is boring but then you don’t want to do anything else but raid? Okay.
Drop rates are pretty good, though I wouldn’t mind more loot. However, raid gear is already definitely better than dungeon loot. Most classes’ BiS weapons and trinkets come from raid. Ret Paladin BiS weapon is Gavel (raid weapon) along with Sigil of the First Ones (raid trinket) and Old Warrior Soul (raid trinket), for example.
I think they need to be a little less stingy with loot though.
Maybe make it so the higher the key is the greater chance of loot or have a pitty system that gives you a token that allows you to buy the piece of gear you want but the catch is that it is base (1/12).
I especially like the Creation Impetus System and hope they keep this going into Dragonflight.
The ability to upgrade gear from lower difficulties up is something that feels super natural to raiding. It makes old gear you have laying around that might be weaker than what you have now still have value too it in the long term.
It also just feels nice, knowing that even if you get a raid bis on normal for example, you don’t need that item to drop again on Heroic or even Mythic, and you can hold onto it and bring it in-line with content you’ve been clearing.
The trick is convincing them to letting all of us peasants enjoy the game and the loot.
If we can just get them to stop messing around with stuff due to RWF, the game would be a lot better for a lot more people.
I get it. RWF is supposed to be a big deal, I guess. Who really cares though? Figure out some rules for those guys to follow and let the rest of us have our toys.
