Ryzen 3 2200 Radeon Vega 3 8gb RAM

Running “just fine” outside of raids doesn’t mean it’ll run “just fine” inside of raids. The 2200g doesn’t run Modern raids “just fine”.

Uhhh, I know that the 2200G is an APU. What do you think an APU is? AMD’s marketing term for their CPU’s with integrated graphics.

The 3400g would be your best bet. How much are you willing to spend?

Here’s some FPS drops from Esfand during the final moments of Beta. I don’t know what his rig looks like but I can guarantee he’s not using an APU or low end stuff.

For just basic gameplay any current AMD apu with vega graphics will be okay. But for a little bit more you can get a Ryzen 5 2600 for $120 at Micro Center and get something like an ASRock b450m pro4 for another $80. Put in something like an rx570 gpu for $130ish and you’ll be leaps and bounds ahead of any of the apu/Vega option.

I even ran an RX 460/Ryzen 3 1200 for a week or two last year while I waited for some replacement parts on my main pc. Did fine out in the open world at 1440p with around medium/low settings.

That’s honestly the minimum I’d go though for basic gaming needs. And if you’re playing anything besides WoW I’d just step right up to the new RX5700.

I’d like spend as little possible.

This Ryzen 3 2200U Radion Vega 3 with 8gb RAM is $399.00

I like that. If I have to spend more, I guess I’ll have to. Maybe a refurbished Acer Nitro or Dell G7. But that 600-700 bucks.

I’m really hoping the Ryzen 3 is the way to go.

Take a look at this:

It looks promising assuming it’s really what it says it is.

Just realized it’s a laptop. I strongly suggest going up to something like this:

Then do not get a laptop. Don’t get a new PC at all.

If you want a PC for games below $500, then ideally get something used. Higher end hardware from 2-4 years ago is still much better than todays low end stuff, but you get it thrown after you for cheap. If you know someone who has enough of a clue with hardware who can help you find deals locally then do that, otherwise it’s too much of a risk getting scammed though.

If that is no option for you, then a Ryzen APU would sure be your best bet to get something to run games on with a tight budget.

So if you have to, then aim for a desktop with a Ryzen 3 2200G, 3200G, 2400G or 3400G.
For a laptop I’d aim for AT LEAST a Ryzen 3 2300U with a Vega 6 and 4 cores (not the one with a Vega 3 and 2 cores!!) , or the newer 3300U model, if posssible get a Ryzen 5 2500U or 3500U with Vega 8.

Vega 6 is up to two(!) times as fast as Vega 3, Vega 6 to 8 isn’t that big of a difference. Vega 8 at least is pretty OK for WoW. Not perfect but enough for 60fps most of the time without having to resort to low settings.

But just to make that clear again: That is really not ideal, gaming PCs below $500-600 are hard to pull off if you don’t have parts lying around already, buying used is the way to go there if you want something good. Otherwise what Khankus said, a $500-600 budget for parts and selfbuild can get you pretty far already, but you need some clue or someone who makes a build for you

Edit: I’m from germany, so that 500-600 is just a very rough estimate based on exchange rates, and I also can’t point you to any sites or communities, I only know german ones :frowning:

I have built over 10 computer systems the last 10 years, some AMD and INTEL.

The Ryzen 2200g is fine enough, there will be some graphics turned down, especially anti aliasing types.

The Ryzen 3200G just came out July 7, you might consider one of them.
MAKE sure you check the MOTHERBOARDS QVL RAM list for the ram to buy, RYZEN is still memory sensitive.

you’ll need a cheap graphics card as well. gtx 1050’s are probably a couple hundred.

you could probably find one on craigslist/facebook for dirt cheap

Hello,
I am planning to build a computer for someone that plays retail WoW on a daily basis. He has a walmart computer, not built for gaming and plays on very low settings. He experiences a complete freeze when it comes to world bosses. I was wondering it you could recommend the a integrated graphics card that will play the game smoothly on low setting to medium settings, since I don’t know if it would just be better to just play the fifty extra dollars for the 3200G or just get the 2200G. FYI he doesn’t care about the graphics, he just cares about being able to play the game.

You need to figure out what is causing the problem first. Then address that issue.

It could be the drivers need updating. Memory could be used up. CPU could be 100%. GPU could be 100%. It could be the HD.

As for an easy cheap PC. Ebay HP elitedesk-then get a GTx1650 (maybe put in some more memory and an ssd.)

For building a PC: price point and look up stuff on pcpartspicker. You can build something really good if you use on sale items.
