ake everyone play on an even playing field for equality” and first of all, that’s not how equality works. Putting everyone on the same ground level isn’t equality it’s asinine. Equality means building staircases and ramps for multiple levels and letting people pick and choose.

Nor is this “lessening the skill difference” if anything it’s going to make it worse because 99% of the people being gapped by that skill difference are being gapped because of a laziness to learn basic fundamentals and improve even a slight bit. None of these changes are going to change the predicament they find themselves in.

This is what people don’t understand.

Currently, hearing raiders have addons/WeakAuras to solve mechanics and voice chat for communication.

Undaunted has addons/WeakAuras to solve mechanics and addons/WeakAuras for communication.

With this change, hearing raiders still have voice chat. Undaunted has nothing. This is a huge step backwards for equality. It’s not a difficult concept to grasp.

All we’re asking for is for Blizzard to engage with the disabled community to help preserve accessibility while still moving forward with their Midnight design goals. We’re not asking for a full reversal. We’re looking for a healthy medium where they can get the restrictions they want without locking disabled players out of the accommodations they need.
