Rusty diapers

I was really expecting that they’d let people choose whether to have one set of arms/legs or both sets after the comic established that those gnomes had changes done over a longer period of time, and that how many parts they traded out was a sign of stature.

I guess they wanted to avoid situations where people would choose to have fleshy limbs and still have the mechanical idle animations, and didn’t have a system to constrain that unless they made them all mechanical at once.

I don’t have any source for that at all, its just my armchair guess.

As for the OP, I probably won’t be rolling one, but I’m looking forward to seeing them as forum alts because the forum RP and the unique way they carry themselves is really fun. Same with Nightborne.

They made mechagnomes so people would stop complaining that no one plays KT…

This would’ve been so cool. They could’ve even let you transmog the non-robot limbs. Like have one glove on, and a robot claw for the other hand

That would’ve made the character feel like they’re upgrading their body. Sort of like a work in progress type look

Yeah… Blizz really missed the mark with mechagnomes

Oh bother.

You just made me think of all the names I am going to see once they are released.

When I said I wanted to play a mechagnome, THIS is not quite what I meant. At best these are like. Gnome cyborgs.

The term ‘Mechagnome’ brings to mind the dudes like Mimiron, the titan-y gnomes. THAT is what I really want. Even if I’m not articulating myself well. It’s very late.

I don’t mind them in the fact they work as the companion race for regular gnomes. But I don’t personally have a desire to play a gnome.

Sethrak would have been a better pairing to Vulpera. Though I think Blizzard wanted to do the two small races together. :woman_shrugging:

Of course I’m going to play one - was that a trick question? I may race change a hunter or just make another DK.

It’s sad because they could have done it… and we would have avoided a lot of this mess. At least I think so. And for those folks that already like 'em, they’d just be even happier.

Yes! That would have been right, but then, BfA does not seem to be an expansion where something right for ally is in the devs’ plans when they are determined to just give us compromises.
