Well it might as well be in 2021, due to how close the release date is, being on the end of 2020.
What exact creative process are they showing off with Shadowlands? Is it halving our levels, same ole pathfinder as before, same classes with a few extra abilities, or the lack of new race/class on launch? Its not the new zones they look like something from D3 and the tower dungeon has been a thing in games for quite a long time.
Maybe the covenants although I think people are more concerned about them than excited at this point. Maybe that will pan out to be something neat but I don’t see it carrying the whole expansion.
Some things that would interesting would be the idea of a perma alternate method to gain power (not rented power). Maybe true player housing which players have asked for since… well the beginning. How about a new profession? Account wide bank slots would be nice, yet another feature almost every other MMO out there has had for years now.
People can make the argument they won’t release all the features right now but we all know they want to throw the best features out there to get people excited to spend money. Given their previous track record I wouldn’t expect to see anything surprising no matter how long it takes to release.
Problem is BFA sounded better than shadowlands on paper when it was announced , Shadowlands from what we know so far is less impressive than BFA was
I think it’s naive to expect an August, September or possibly even October 2020 release for Shadowlands.
Its the xpac after Shadowlands we really have to be worried about.
Because FF doesnt have cute realistic anthro races like the pandaren, big bara taurens, werewolves etc
Just tigermen zzzzz
utter BS. if they were listening they would address issues that are a problem -right now- and not put things off for another year. it doesn’t matter how nice the new boat is if the one you’re paddling towards the shore up and sinks on you. my main is in a raiding guild, my alts are in a casual guild, and BOTH guilds are losing players every week because BfA is just trash grindfest bs and the devs aren’t showing any sign that they are the least bit interested in fixing anything this expansion.
for the rest, link a source dude, there ain’t no rumors, or at least there weren’t until you posted this.
Notice how I said “was going to” as in the common theory.
Hold up, are going to be trappe in BFA for one more whoooole year?
August 2020 really isn’t out of the realm of possibility
Legion August 30, 2016
BfA August 14 ,2018
I can almost tell you with all certainty that they did not scrap any “OG” 9.0 and started development for shadowlands in 8.1
You realize it is impossible for the game to come out any later than dec 31-2020 without suffering serious legal ramifications?
The preorders are sold with it explicitly said available on or before December 31, 2020
I am wondering when the last 8.x patch comes out, the one that changes leveling and a lot more in world, that starts the undead uprising.
+1 op. For getting the forum lurkers panties in a bunch lol. All these armchair wow addict lawyer wannabes talking about lawsuits, if they don’t feed my addiction with shadowlands on time hahaha.
And a giant bunny leaves chocolates every April…
BFA was a pretty good expansion, though.
My predicted timeline is that we’re gunna see Shadowlands at August at the ABSOLUTE earliest, with an October release date being far more likely.
There’s no reason for Blizzard to cut Nyalotha down to anything less than a 6 month tier, especially as a 13 boss raid, just to rush out Shadowlands.
Yet there’s no reason to think Shadowlands won’t come out in August, September, or October, though.
The absolute latest a WoW expansion has ever released in the year was Cataclysm with its release date of December 7, 2010.
I’d say that Shadowlands will likely release not much later than say mid-November at the latest. I think they’re going to try getting Shadowlands launched in late August or early September if possible, assuming 8.3 is the final BfA patch. They’re just covering their bases a bit by saying it will be out by December 31, 2020 in case they run into unexpected snags that would prevent an August or September release date.
In fact, they are literally working on updating glowing eye effects (and presumably eye textures too, as a lot of eye textures that rely on the “glow orbs” are rather lackluster) on the PTR right now. Shadowlands alpha and beta builds are likely around the next corner.
8.3 is likely coming out in early January 2020, and Shadowlands alpha/beta testing could start as early as late January or early February.
Nobody will know what it’s really like until it drops. Until then it’s just speculation, and if you think the time gated grinds and Pathfinder are going away you’re delusional. They’ll do anything and everything possible to try and force people to play more than they normally would. Even if that means making the game as boring as possible.
Few Random YouTube videos. They also mentioned Diablo 4 being released I’m 2021.
But ya know… Rumors. Lol
