Still not evidence just because you typed it here. But we also all know ratings aren’t the end all tell all. Just like your little scenario I am willing to bet if you took the top RBG players and let them have time to learn arena they could probably do really well. They other thing people love to leave out is R1 is largely the same players over and over (and their alts), and finding your way into that small % is extremely tough especially during some seasons. RBGs is so dead it’s hard to tell, but I know a few Hero RBG players (their main content) that have pushed as high as 2700 in arena within the last 2 or 3 expacs. So it can be done. To me anyone it’s not as simple as arena player = better.

rank one and hero isnt a set rating. The cutoff changes based on participation.

FYI in my experience generally arena players (high rated) are better than RBG players at least when you look at the ladders. But I honestly have been around way more arena players than RBG players so I can’t give a factual answer, just my opinion.

I’ve seen more than a few high rated arena players do absolutely boneheaded things in BG Blitz. Then again, I’ve seen boneheaded things from many players across the board at all skill levels.
Arena requires much more mechanical skill than BGs, but winning BGs can be much more subtle and indirect. For example, someone dying six times with zero kills can still be the MVP for their team and the reason why their team won.
