I’m essentially continuing this from the beta thread since I have no idea how much longer that part of the forum is even going to be accessible.
“In Midnight, many specializations have undergone large changes in order to meet our design goals for the expansion. While the scope and full list of class updates are still being worked on, we are paying close attention to both internal metrics as well as player sentiment as we assess how to proceed.”
Surely blizzard you must know by now that the community sentiment around resto shaman is that; we very much dislike it, it’s the worst iteration ever, the spec is identity-less, the spec is extremely bland and boring, and it feels like there’s no identifiable core fantasy. Hell, many streamers and video makers who have played it and shown it live on the beta have said this also; it’s just plain boring.
We want our spec to be fun again. We’re a boring brain-dead healer with skyfury and a kick, that’s all we’re known for now. This spec has so many issues (see the various posts on the beta section if you still can).
There’s little to no interaction between our core abilities and that’s always been the case. However we had short CD buttons to cover up the lack of a real gameplay loop. Our loop was managing the short CDs and filling with wave/chain/surge, now most of our short CDs are gone and we’re just filling with wave or chain with no real engagement or interaction.
With the lack of changes, notes, tuning, and how recklessly the few changes recently have come, it feels as if it’s another demo warlock situation where yall just don’t want us to play the spec until you can rework it.
With the MANY MANY MANY MANY issues (mastery, core abilities not even being talented, the talent tree, apex, lack of intuitive gameplay, etc.) there’s a lot to work on and fix with a complete rework. Which we can only beg for in a major patch and hope that you see the sentiment behind resto shaman is that WE NEED HELP, THIS SPEC IS BORING BEYOND BELIEF. (yall made theun quit in alpha with these changes)
I highly doubt I’m the only one who feels this way, as it’s more rare (in my experience) to find someone who thinks resto is now in a good spot.
