RP and PVP go hand in hand. They are each the most immersive way to play.
RP is the most immersive way to interact socially.
PVP fully immerses you in the Horde-Alliance conflict.
This is no disrespect to people who prefer the PVE ruleset. I’ve spent more time on PVE than PVP myself; sometimes you don’t want to be that immersed. But PVP and RP go together like PB and jelly and I hope we’ll get the option.

Emerald Dream is working together to pick a name once we know the list. The sad part will come if they do make one RP-PVP and we all want to switch to it and will either have to pay to transfer or start over. I will start over and be TOTALLY “insert a bad word 
” mad while leveling and getting to know my new RP character.

Why is it so damn hard to understand this? It’s not a difficult thing to do, it won’t be expansive, it’ll give one more option for players who want to enjoy the game in their preferred way.
Having at least ONE RP-PvP realm won’t take anything away and it’ll just attract more people into the game for its variety, however big or small the number of people will be.
My patience is running low and PMS is not helping. If there is no RP-PvP realm on launch, I’m absolutely not going to play classic and spend my money elsewhere.
I’m tired of asking without any replies. This lack of communication from them is absolutely ridiculous and plain stupid. Look at the number of posts in this thread. A simple “we’re still considering some things but it’s not looking good for you” would be enough. I can’t take this frustration anymore so I’ll back away from the forums. I’ll prepare for the worst and hope for the best.
Best wishes to the rest of you. This thread proves that the RP-PvP community is solid as heck - even before a hint of a confirmation or not of that realm type, just look at how united the people are. It really makes me proud of your tenacity, respect towards each other and determination for a good cause. And this thread also proves how the community deserves much more than Activision-Blizzard is giving - at the very least in terms of listening to their customers.
For now I’ll take my leave. If RP-PvP is there on launch, find me on Alliance as a paladin with a blonde ponytail who wears a shield, and whose name is the same of a flower.

As a Vanilla player of old I never understood what this rp or much less rp pvp was all about. As a sorta nerd I am kind of curious. Do you begin each fight with a macro " unhand that Murloc kind sir or I shall slay thee"? I have heard tell of dragons in Un’Goro. I share your frustration (if not temporary bodily issues) and my hype for the project has been sapped over time, because of this topic, 1.12 AV, CRBGs, etc. I will likely not resub until a RPPVP server is made. I can only accept so much, and a billion dollar company doing so little, for the full-strength sub cost of an AAA game.
RP-PVP servers are amazing. A server will take on a life of its own making beyond RP and plain PVP.
Nothing means nothing! Don’t make me come over there Blizzard, RP-PvP’ers are like the Macho Man. Going to wreck face and put on a good performance while we do it, give us our arena!

Pago here. My character is now gone as are several others from my selection in character change. Interesting. They are in game though, spread throughout a few servers. I am sure this is a glitch.
In the meantime, meet Guano aka Pago. Stop clowning with me and with the RPPvP community!
That’s cool. Unfortunately I wouldn’t be joining you folks, RP is a higher priority than plain PvP for me. I find there are more harassment to RP players on a non RP server.

I completely and fully understand. I’ve poked around on my fair share of PVP servers and community is completely different without RP in it.
This is why RPPVP is IMPORTANT to exist at the beginning.
There WILL be a split in the community.

I believe there will be an rp pvp server, 1 at least in NA. This belief is what Im holding onto. They dont tell us anything anyway, so perhaps they have changed their minds and are just waiting to surprise us? Thats what Im counting on.
