Wondering if any guilds are recruiting for classic.

Also, is Blizz still dead set against PVE-RP?

Im not looking for a hardcore raiding guild, not even sure I’ll have the time to raid. Looking for a mature guild that leans more on camaraderie and fun vs getting into raids asap.

I’m more of a slow leveler in classic WoW, take my time, level professions, run all the 5 mans etc. Also had a pretty bad guild experience so been solo or with just a handful of people for several years…looking to get back into a moderate sized community… :slight_smile:

Faction is probably not an issue…finding where I fit is more important. :slight_smile:

Also, I am new to RP…no interest at all in ERP.

As of yet, I have not seen a word on any server types.

“IF” they create a RP-PVP server you are going to have better luck on that one, As I am sure a lot of the ED/WRA folks will go to those, and they bring the RP and yes WPVP.

I would like to know of the servers myself so I can begin to work on back stories and get to know whom is whom and a lot of that jazz as well but for reasons they are being stingy with the information.

As far as being slow to level, that is a huge part of what I do enjoy and it fleshes out that character a bit more as well, and again the people you meet along the way.

Also, faction is huge, clearly the only real faction is the Forsaken*

And being new into RP, so, it has been years since I have seen someone get there preverbal cyber panties in a twist. You are going to be fine, Just work with your toons goals, and what would they do in this situation.

  • I have never had anyone try and ERP with a Forsaken so there is that.

I do love Forsaken!

They seem ideal for RP as well. You can really work with a backstory, tragic death and being raised as Forsaken. That is very appealing to me.

I should just start working on my character and worry about a guild closer to launch. Thank you.

They are not “dead set against” it, but consider RP-PVP to be a small niche. Hopefully with all the threads they’ll see that one PVP server in each region should be flipped to RP-PVP.

If you are interested, not everyone is super hardcore. we have quite a few planning to raid casually. (on our weekend team)
We are still forming our basis for RP rules etc, but we do plan on having advanced/entry level RP environments for everyone.

INTRODUCTION:
Willingly Suboptimal is a freshly founded guild that is preparing for official Classic launch. Our goal is to enjoy Classic and everything it has to offer, especially committed when it comes to dedicated raiding. We’re focused on achieving our ambitious goals, and looking for more. We will be rolling on an RP realm for its higher sense of community and atmosphere.

RECRUITMENT:
We are recruiting all dedicated and focused raiders of any class for our hardcore main raid team, those who want to push content at a fast and consistent pace. We currently actively searching for HUNTERS, DRUIDS, and ROGUES as well as a few of the other classes for our Main team, though we would strongly consider any strong applicant of any class. Our current leadership contains individuals who have had a long and successful resume when it comes to true hardcore raiding on both Retail, and Classic private servers. Our main raid roster is already pushing 35 players.

We are also recruiting for two more casual minded raid teams, one weekend team, and one late night team. We’re RP friendly, but RP is not a requirement. However, we will have some casually organized RP. Our guild is not just about raiding, and we are also looking for casuals, friends, and family who wish to integrate themselves into our community.

EXPECTATIONS:
As per our guild name, we do not worry about being completely 100% optimal. We are open to any class, and any spec. We believe it is the player that truly matters. Currently, our raiding rosters have room for any dedicated player of any class. We expect main team raiders to put in the required effort during progress. We expect to use our raid time as efficiently as possible, by also preparing outside of raid as well. We will be using Loot Council.

Main raid goals go from hitting the ground running into Stage One of progress, clear content at a fast pace, and end with killing Kel’thusad at least 30 times. We intend to have the casual raids begin in the 4th month, and clear content at a relaxed pace.

I’ve been toying with the idea of starting up a casual-ish RP-PVP guild themed around a Forsaken knighthood. At its core the guild would defend undead zones and fight the Alliance, do some raiding, and just enjoy the game that way. It’s nothing set in stone but there’s something there if I can get it going.

The biggest hurdle as far as RP goes (for me, anyway) is server choice. If they don’t give us an RP-PVP server, or decide to open one some time after launch, I’d want to know where the majority of like-minded players are going to end up, be it a RP or PVP server. More info can’t come soon enough.
