Honestly, I wasn’t expecting the “RP finder” that shows other Rpers on your map to work in Classic. As long as the standard character description stuff continues to work, I’ll be happy.

well we do not know if it will be broken or not. I am a role player since 98, so I do understand. But things need to be in the era of the game. I think it will be alright really.
MRP and a much older version of TRP have been in since Vanilla. Heck, there was even a third one I completely forgot the name of
If Classic cannot support those addons for whatever reasons, then it fails at providing a Vanilla-like experience.

Was called FlagRSP, someone reminded me earlier in the thread. I think that was my first RP addon but not certain.

My favorite RP addon was one that changed your /say, /whisper, /yell, etc. into a Dwarven accent (I think they had one for Trolls, too). Basically the addon parsed your text and replaced common words with Dwarven (think how some of the Dwarven NPCs speak).
That was it! My first one as well. Nice, small and self-contained.
I used one that I believe was called Tongues. It wasn’t perfect but was fun lol

I had to turn that off when I raided on my druid. Mixed with DBM she hooted all over raids.

That’s amazing. We had a dwarf that was basically unintelligible in raids. Thinking back on it, it reminds me of the Scottish twitter meme.

Even if that happens, I’m sure blizz would be willing to try and fix it for rpers. Just gotta give the code monkies some time find out the right way to clack out code
As long as they don’t break RP addons until they’ve worked out the fix, I’m fine with that.

Going to sleep a little sounder tonight. WeakAuras has tweeted that ClassicLFG will still work and if it still works then I know RP addons will still work since Blizzard isn’t even specifically going after them.
I will probably still bump this thread daily though to make sure Blizzard realizes they can break LFG but they shouldn’t break RP addons.

You don’t have to use the lfg addon or any of them. No one is forcing you. Just like people back then were not forced… Sure without many of them they played far worse, just like you will.
So what its the same deal. But that deal isn’t good enough for people now. Because they were bad back then and don’t want other people to know that they are still bad today.
Just wanted to bump to make sure this stays somewhat visible.
Blizzard, break ClassicLFG all you want but don’t break RP addons in the process!
