Rogues Need Changes

700, on top of melee swings(white hits) on top of poison procs is PLENTY of damage for a global.

If you don’t like counter arguments then don’t invite them with statements like this^

If your whole approach to interacting with other people is in terms of only trying to “win” then you have already lost friend.

I just wish they made good OH daggers for us. That’s all.

WAsnt p1 bis for enh shamans 2 daggers? lol. I remember playing rogue in classic when it launched and fury warriors were also using daggers as bis boss single target dmg wihen we could increase our rage gen by ridiculous amounts with the world buffs. People use daggers as much as they use swords lol. When was the last time you saw 1h swords on warrior bis list in SoD? p1 with the shadowbolt sword lol, but 2h was much more dmg than dw at that point.

Which sim are you using? Cuz I am seeing about 350~ dps as saber slash and about 1100~ dps as mutilate lol

Swords are usually reserved for warriors in classic and the old private servers. Rogues would get swords only if they were human and only if the human warriors already got theirs. I was combat daggers all through Vanilla until TBC. Combat Swords were used to level in vanilla, but you were pretty lucky if you got to use swords as a Rogue when fury warriors were the kings.

Imagine thinking people played combat swords for 20 years; Imagine thinking people played classic for 20 years…

Dagger was BiS on Sham before 1.12 too because Flametongue and WF were both bugged. You could global clothies with daggers. Man I miss those days. I used to pull out a staff and put rockbiter on it to fight clothies because they made really hard hitting staves, you get one from a Desolace quest line.

1.7 speed? Would you not sim better with the tinker sword from Mara? It’s 1.4 speed and 36 dos with crit and spell dmg (for higher eviscerate). 1.4 would get you more poison application, and more Cp procs if not in a hat group.

I mean i sim’d with the easiest to get, tbh Hanzo Sword would be really good too and thats like 60g.

because the devs hate rogues, they put zero effort into our class, just look at our runes, our gear, or the fact that mutilate (which has an animation from vanilla) DOESNT even have an animation in SoD)

because the devs dont want to spend time on rogues, all their time is spent cooking on how to make shamans the most insane class any xpack or patch of wow has ever seen.

because then they dont have to spend time on us

I’m running thrash with hanzos now as a coldblood seal fate build. It’s not terrible. I’d rather be combat but i’ll take what i can get. With my gear (pre-bis non-raider) mutilate still outperforms it by closer to 10-15% in reality but Vile Poisons, Improved Poisons and Seal fate are pretty much mandatory which essentially means you can use any weapon you want as long as it uses a fast offhand for proccing poison and CP. the only reason not to use daggers and mutilate is if you don’t have good weapons or if you just want to be different.

  1. Sword Rogues - We have some adjustments coming in the upcoming update but we are open to ideas for how to make Saber Slash and other sword gameplay compelling. Might simply be a “do moar damage” adjustment that fixes this in the end, but we are interested in “feelsy” adjustment ideas too.

I think it’s more…they had their own expectations and perspectives on how classes should play. But, the players want their abilities/runes to mean something. By far the biggest part of SoD are the runes. Having a rune that just sucks…well…sucks.

Personally, I think rogue dps is fine. I just want Main Gauche and Shuriken Toss to NOT SUCK. As a rogue tank, we need some help.

Compared to Chimerashot or Aimshot doing almost 2k globals from 40 yards away? Naw its not strong. Nice try though, a Mutilate doing 1k from both hits when stars align isn’t strong. Go be a clown somewhere else. :clown_face:

Lolololol considering a rogue has the opener, and easily dishes 2k+ inside a cheap shot lololol don’t run into the trap. You are terrible if you do. Literally “detect traps” - the only way a hunter could get 2k chimera is with lone wolf and at that point it is a free kill for the rogue. Aim shot shares a cd first of all, second you can’t move, what hunter can pvp with out kiting, literally a dead rune in pvp. Unreal delusion - oh and a dead zone…. Rogue step… just because you obvious you do not even know how to use your sprint, vanish gap closer. Even with serpent you ah e 3 secs of vanish in sprint then step. Do it quickly don’t let them trap its gg, if they use serpent to keep you from full vanish trap won’t work anyways, it breaks…. You must be terrible.

Rogues don’t do 2k in a cheapshot, try again. Obviously math is hard for you. Take the L and go global kids and enjoy being broken for a day.(Your name checks out) :clown_face:
