Rogue new animations incoming?

Looking to come up with alternate ideas for Rogues makes me look at examples in Lore.

We have all of SI:7! Secret Agents, Masters of Disguise, Back Alley Bruisers and Bouncers, Thieves, and Daredevils! There are plenty of cool rogueish concepts that could have been fleshed out that would have been better than RNG Coin talents. I feel stupid with my money falling out of my pockets all the time.

Its interesting they failed to make Outlaw lore accurate and interesting, have a look at Vanessa Vancleef and her abilities, shes literally an assassin and pirate, but nooo can’t have her stuff.

I want Grappling Hook to be like Qhira’s from Heroes of the Storm. We should be able to Grapple on to the ceiling and hang there like Spider Man, I’m being dead serious and while you’re grappled to a surface, you’re considered stealthed and can open from the ceiling.

We should be able to Grapple to other players, grapple teammates to us, grapple to an enemy and swing around it while pulsing electricity through the chain, kinda like Quira how she grapples to people and swings around them, but also I’m thinking of Black Widow with the taser and electricity tech.

Why are we not able to shoot poison darts from our bracer yet?? (Spider-Man, Black Widow, Hawk Eye, etc) Where are the gas cloud abilities? Why can’t we Vanish other players yet? Why does Vanish suck so bad? Why are they so inconsistent with Shadow based abilities? Why can’t we throw vials or tinctures yet? And so on and so forth.

I think outlaw could have some inspiration on Samira from the league of legends or Dante’s from Devil May Cry, a lot of gun shots and cuts would be fun as f.

I saw someone in another thread talking about Outlaw changing to ranged, like Survival Hunter changed to melee.

That’d work great with a concept like this.

The enhanced Mutilates/Backstabs from Deathstalker’s Mark need to have a special animation. One thing I really notice when playing on my Enhancement Shaman is how much visual feedback you get from your hero spec, it’s very obvious when your Lightning Bolt changes to a Tempest.

I will say this: Blizz knows how to animate cool Rogue stuff
when the Rogue is an enemy NPC stunting on you.

Nerub content is replete with cool AF Rogue -esque stuff. It’s just the enemies get it.

I have had people say to me that the problem is that it’s hard to make Rogues cool as the game spectacle creeps. But they clearly DO know how.

An observation, demon hunters are more rogue than rogue now.

They need to FIX THE STEALH BREAK BUGS ASAP

Maybe they don’t have anyone talented enough to fix rogue codes. Like any organization, there are major internal issues outsiders don’t know about. It would not surprise me if the coders currently at Blizzard lack the knowledge to work on rogues. I too work at a major organization with issues. So I understand.

Please prove us wrong blizzard and show you do have the talent to work on rogue codes.
