Hey folks, on mobile rn so I cant provide the link, but legendaries have been revealed! We got a lot of what other classes did, a combo of legion legendaries and set bonuses. However, the big return is Mantle of the Master Assassin.
I find it crazy that they actually brought it back, in legion it was the strongest legendary for a lot of content for all three specs, and it’s only looking stronger now.
To explain:
Mantle had no real synergy with sub or outlaw, outside of crits being nice. Sin got the nice benefit of crits = CP on top of this.
But now, both outlaw and sub have gained pretty extreme crit synergies on beta.
Outlaw has the reworked BtE, giving a whopping 30% crit mod for up to 18 seconds, it’s very easy to see an outlaw getting 5-6 CP, vanishing, and opening with BtE for some nice burst. Combine this with restless blades for reduced cd, and it’s looking real nice.
Then we have sub. Exposed weakness has been reworked to apply whenever shuriken storm or backstab crit on a target. A very huge deal now that subs finishers deal 50% more damage to any target that is exposed. In dungeons it could be the bread and butter of sub to abuse this crit to the max on add packs just spamming shuriken storm into shadow vault, benefiting not only from the exposed weakness, but also guaranteed to crit itself.
It’s very likely to me that if mantle isnt nerfed in some way, it will be our strongest legendary by far, but I would love to know everyone else’s opinions on it!

Not all leggos came back yet, but I am super hyped about this. Honestly, with master assassin coming back, I can see some insane burst from outlaw. (Actually having vanish as a dps increase now) and between the eye combo now that it also increases crit damage. Sub this is nice for the free crits, though you can easily apply find weakness with sod.
Sin for sure benefits the most from this imo.
I am curious to see of this is affected by nelf racial as well. Cant wait to see more. Rogue hype!

It’s not really going to help with applying Find Weakness, as it’s going to apply itself anyway when you attack from stealth or dance. And it’s already up almost 24/7 lol.
That said, it could be nice for the Evisc crits alone. With FW up, Evisc and the bonus damage roll can crit indecently, so if both crit it will be like 3 for the price of one (or ~2.6 in PvP).
The very fact that classes are designed with the legendary items and “artifact” abilities in this case covenants in mind as a source of classes being completed by these things is just bad bad bad.
Classes should be independent, gear should be secondary and the gear shouldn’t get too crazy in terms of power, procs or secondaries.
Blizzard fails again to learn from past mistakes, but this is OK because TBC is also in rout so at least they can’t screw that up completely.

Are you not aware that Tier sets existed specifically so they could patch holes for classes? That many classes were left unfixed because they could simply make a Tier set to shore it up?
Or do you think T5 for Mages was all a fluke and wasn’t made just so Arcane could be viable?
Ah wait, I forgot. You prefer the game where only three DPS are viable and the rest are allowed to be bad because they have some perceived strength somewhere else.

Yup.
They are ignoring class design and slopping legendaries down as if that fixes all the glaring class issues. Unfortunately you are right.

LOL you really think only a few classes are viable in TBC? Even without T5 during phase 1 TBC, yes TBC shipped live with T5; mage was still viable even as playing arcane.
For speed runs yes the classes that get stacked aren’t mages, but if speed clears became a thing in retail the same problem would exist with certain classes getting 100% benched due to effectiveness being sub optimal.
You point the finger at TBC for some issues, but maybe you should realize that for every issue TBC has regarding balance BFA is far worse.
Additionally it’s important to know that TBC was not balanced with top end DPS figures in mind, instead it was balanced on certain classes providing certain values to the raid as whole, a concept that blizzard has moved entirely away from so that they can appease idiots who look at personal DPS and HPS values as the best measure of performance.
To drive another nail into that failure mode that’s called retail, when was the last time retail was even reasonably balanced?
Mists was the last time, since then they have deliberately chosen to buff and nerf certain class specs to ensure players we roll for optimal performance so that they can extract the most play time out of your account with the only goal being cold hard cash.

‘Viable’ isn’t even a real word. If you are talking competitive then no, Arcane is not competitive until 2-pc T5. It isn’t.
This isn’t a positive. Stop acting like it is.
And yet every raid ended up stacking BM Hunters, Warriors, and Seal of Blood Ret Paladins. Funny how that works.
MoP, WoD, Legion. All had periods of relative balance. Even Uldir was relatively balanced. Nice try, though.

WoD was not, nor was legion or BFA because certain specs were flat dumpster all because blizzard intended to make it that way.
It’s the same exact thing you point a finger at arcane for in TBC, only difference is it’s during a point in game history you appear to enjoy more.
You can raid now with a bad spec, just like you could avoid T5 in TBC as arcane, it’s just not going to post high ticket numbers.
Viable = it works and does the job, this does not mean it is optimal.
Competitive = does the job at near peak job values.

Okay, so if one single spec being bad makes it unbalanced, then WoW at no point was ever balanced.
BM in Classic.
MM in TBC. Or Fire. Or Arms. Or Feral (DPS or Tank).
There has never been an ‘unviable’ spec in the history of WoW. Casuals will play with anything. There has been a multitude of non-competitive of specs from 2004 to now.
I like doomblade and bloodfang ones , adding more bleeds is always welcomed
Hopefully they keep going and release them all soon on beta , really want to be torn between which one to use and not have 1 beat every single other one by a large margin and that requires testing ! I’ll be glad if 2-3 (Minimum) of them sims as BiS!

Glad you are finally getting it.

Getting what? If that is your point, it is a bad one. Classic and TBC are not better than retail specifically because so many specs are non-competitive and the systems themselves are simply terrible.
Still missing the point, you’re hung up on my enjoyment of CLASSIC and TBC, and missing the point.
Class design is horrible in WoD, Legion and likewise will also be dog poop in SL also. Maybe someday Blizzard will figure out where they went wrong, but I doubt that will happen. You see, I would love to enjoy retail again, so would a very long list of players just like me who were let down by everything Blizzard has done from WoD and forward regarding the one thing that matters most, Class design.
They have been failing hard since 6.0, and continue to fail hard. SL is not really better, it’s only going to be different from BFA.

I agree. The bloodfang one is very interesting to me since it can be used for all specs. Though I know for sure for outlaw the pistol shot one is a must. Anytime youd use between the eyes at 5 combo point you’re guranteed the crit bonus buff thing. Plus 200 percent pistol shot damage, take the talent in first tier and those pistol shot crits are gunna be oh so delicious.
I want to know how the bloodfang one would scale as well.

You two need to log into classic, meet in the back room of the Goldshire inn and wrestle while you beat horses that have been dead for 13 years
Take it to tells

This thread is meant to talk about the new leggos we have revealed. Not to banter back and forth. if you don’t have any real feedback or something to say about it, please go else where or talk in private messages.
ATM on beta from what i saw in videos we still have a few leggos that aren’t working, or maybe bugged. (bleed leggos aren’t benefiting from mastery for sin ect)
