Am I really about to defend the scumbag class?
Can you make a more creative class? Including it’s tree and skills? Don’t forget class quests and narrative as well… you’ve also said nothing productive in terms of ideas. So come back with ideas and try again… imagine complaining about creativity and not having ideas of your own.
Are you asking OP to design a class right now on the fly to justify that they think Rogue is uncreative?
What are you looking for as counterpoints? What standards should it live up to? Does it have to be based on the Dungeons and Dragon’s thief archetype or can it be based on something like Ninja’s or Thugees?
How many skill trees do you demand OP to create to justify that they think rogue is uncreative? Do they need to be balanced out by an alpha as well? Should it have 2 or 3 specs? Can it have a healer spec or just a straight 3 dps specs as the current rogue?
You also want the OP to generate class quests and narratives. How many would you like him to post? Should there be class quests and a legendary like Fangs of the Father? How many legendaries should they have? Do you want azerite powers as well?
This is the World of Warcraft forums, and the standards here are high. This is serious stuff, and I appreciate Gwennedl, that you are equally serious in enforcing the need for hundreds to thousands of hours of extra work outside of the forum to justify their hundred or so word post.
Surely there can be no higher calling in life, and I for one applaud you for calling Gwyzlin out like this for having an opinion and seeing what people think of it… surely a shameful thing to do on an internet forum.
So thank you, Gwennedl, for your wisdom, and your glory. Once you type out a long reply to this answering all of my above questions and anything else that you can think of I’m sure Gwyzlin will get right on designing and testing so your completely reasonable standards can be met.
Yes. He is bashing the creativity of it… show some of your own with some ideas.

Doesn’t change the fact that he’s bashing a class’s creativity without even offering ideas, don’t need to come up with a whole class, but at least have ideas when you are gonna be attacking creativity.

If you are gonna bash class design either have ideas or shut up.
So, as I thought, you’re just complaining while offering nothing helpful.
You ask for him to, somehow, come up with a whole class, talents, quests… then say he didn’t have to do that, then lash out when called on being a big meanie… by being a big meanie.

I mean, you can generalize the Paladin class same way but with a blunt object. You’re way over-generalizing the Rogue class.

Unpopular opinion:
Dwarf Rogue is the best rogue. It’s not about DPS it’s about exploring and finding treasure chests to unlock.
Horde doesn’t have anything similar. Only dwarfs get treasure tracking. Since I pretty much only play Horde side I don’t play rogue.
