Anyone here actually love playing Rogue? Think it’s feels balanced and doesn’t need any major adjustments or changes? I do. I love playing Rogue, it’s fun, feels satisfying to play properly and is still sought after in parties due to Atrophic/Shroud.
Seems like every single post in this forum is created by whiners who are clutching old rogue abilities from previous expansions, blinded by nostalgia, unable to see that rogue is fine as is and doesn’t need a massive overhaul.
Same. That could be my own ignorance though since Outlaw is the only spec for Rogue that I actually enjoy playing in terms of the bones of the spec, but yeah Outlaw’s poor PvP performance is my major issue.
Also, I don’t really do any PvE content, but I saw Undermine Spec performance and it’s nuts that the highest performing parses for Outlaw are still very low in the performance list, and the lowest parses due to poor RtB rolls tanks the spec’s DPS so significantly.
I don’t even want a huge rework for Outlaw. I’d be happy if they reverted the CDR changes, baked the worst RtB rolls into the spec, and buffed some rotational abilities like Pistol Shot, SS/Ambush, and Dispatch. That’d be an awesome start.
Always will be, the devs can do so much. Lots of talents for all sorts of styles on each specialization that is great to see instead of “only x”.
They have done a good job and it is up to the rogue to pick what they value, not hiveminds and the wailing caverns of griping that the place has degraded into.
For PVP it is not that bad the problem is that it is being nerfed due to the current set bonus.
Yeah they need to to do more class iterations because what TWW has provides so far is below average for Rogues IMO! But the 2nd patch is where you start to see real class changes anyways so be patient y’all!
I think both kinda have to be true. If people didn’t love the spec they wouldn’t care enough to express their concerns. I don’t share everything I don’t like about demon hunters cos I frankly don’t care at all about what they do with them. Cos I won’t touch them anyway.
For example I love outlaw, a lot of it is so cool. Fast paced, flashy, thematic, love the flavour. At the same time i can’t stand that a lot of our power currently comes from a frustrating ability that is disruptive and takes me out of the awesome flow.
I love the dots in Assass, and that ther a couple of builds to run, but I can’t stand the energy starvation on a boss.
I love sub, and building up and flawlessly executing a cool-down window to do big burst damage, but I can’t stand the performance gap between its burst and time outside of cd’s. I’d prefer if they shortened the disparity a little.
It’s important to express the things we don’t like about the specs and classes we play, it’s feedback, and can improve the things we like even more.
i usually start each expac with rogue, and then it falls off pretty hard when i can’t do any of the content the other classes can do solo without breaking a sweat.
then i switch to mage or resto sham.
in classic, however, rogue all the way. i love the skulk around and watch for an opportunity to strike and ruin someone’s day aesthetic.
because all the “whining” isnt justified im guessing?
Maybe they should:
fix our broken stealth
fix our broken cloak
fix our broken recuperator
fix our broken stuck in combat from bleeds you applied
abilities that still knock us out of stealth that shouldnt (divine toll knocks us out and every major patch with new abilities they forget to disable ‘unlimited range’ so we get knocked out of stealth from miles away for MONTHS)
being unable to cancel subterfuge
stop making the class full of gimmicks where so much relies on random procs
give us a heal that isnt crap among the many other problems with the class.
Not being able to cancel subterfuge is a purposeful balance decision on BlizZard’s part. Same with the reduction of the vanish immunity.
But I do agree they need to keep fixing bugs that have been around.
Recuperator has multiple issues still but they did fix BF bugs and Drink Up Me Hearties bug so there is a chance they come around and fix the rest of the bugs plaguing Rogues.
