you guys are nuts in here saying you get a sense of accomplishment lol. tell that to all the people who said screw shadowlands and started mass unsubbing cause no loot was dropping. some of ya in here are as bad as blizz stuck in these old crappy ways that have basically destroyed this game cause the stuff ain’t working and instead of admitting you just buckle down while players just keep trickling away. when you basically have to scream at devs forever or pull mass unsubs to get anything done you know your stuck playing the wrong game. imagine just adding vendors but then again they would make you farm currency for so long you’d just feel relief not accomplishment or just unsub after all the frustration which is what most people do cause what blizz is doing ain’t working it’s quite obvious imagine if we actually had a growing playerbase not a shrinking one.
It’s just inexperienced players are very impatient… cant comprehend this RNG game.
Let’s say there are 10 BiS items out there to collect. Just be happy if you could get 3 out of 10 and you would still beat the game according to your personal goals. Getting 10 BiS out of 10 BiS is a dream and IT WONT EVER HAPPEN. That’s how RNG works in WoW.
I made more than 50 weeks of Raiding on BWL and it didnt drop Ashkandi on my Warrior while other guilds got 5 of them and some of them were even disenchanted.
I made more than 50 weeks of Raiding ICC-25 and my main DK didnt get her trinket while my alt Hunter got 5 of them and my alt Hunter became more powerful than my Main DK.
RNG is RNG.
But not all my RNG was bad.
My Warrior got Zinrokh, Destroyer of Worlds on the first week of ZG. My Warrior got the Untamed Blade on our first kill of BWL Boss. My Hunter got her 2x BiS Legendaries very early in the expansion. This toon got 3x Range Weapons on the first 5 weeks of Shadowlands S4.
I never got Baron Rivendare’s Mount during my 45 min Baron run farming Frayed Abomination Stitchings for Breastplate of Chromatic Flight. I got the Breastplate but not the mount. I got Infinite Timereaver without knowing that it exists. Was not even looking for it but it dropped to me.

yes rng is rng and blizz’s rng ain’t working in 2022 cause it’s pretty evident people ain’t having fun in wow when more people quit at start of expansions then stay playing they need to change something but nah we know whats best for the game while everyone trickles away to better games with better loot systems than this old 2004 rng system they do absolutely nothing to fix least pvp got a vendor someone at blizz realized vendors are better just not enough of them and they honestly need to lighten up on rng on some these mounts that been out forever and so much of the playerbase still don’t have it’s quite amusing the only reason i even play anymore cause i got rid of the addiction to getting things and just come and go when i feel like it.
I would rather have WoW keep using the same RNG formula than make BiS items rain all over the game. Raining BiS means noobs would be able to get those. And noobs beating game’s hardest content becoz of such BiS items, the game would become trivial… would become a garbage.
I prefer impatient people leaving than make WoW a garbage game.
Waste of time is something subjective. It’s worth it to those that farm it. It’s not for you to decide.
Just simply raise drop chance from 0.01%-0.5% to at least 3%, and 3% absolutely sucks. Anything less than that is pure BS.
14 slots coverable by m+ (removed leggos) with each slot taking 1 to ~53 runs to get…
time to gear if extra unlucky → 14 x ~26hours → 364 hours
time to gear if extra lucky → 14 x 30minutes → 7 hours
RNG dictates if youre gonna take ~7 hours or ~364 hours to gear up through m+

When something has a 0.4 percent drop chance and the raid it drops in has such low play metrics then yes the rng is crap. Your elitist attitudes kill the game. “Wahhh i dont want the people i view as lesser than me getting something”
I will explain it further. We dont want LAZY players to be more geared than the hardworking players. It’s a very easy logic.

I feel you there. It’s funny I’m farming certain items from Legion and old expansions. Pretty much daily.
Famous streamers get those items in matter of weeks when raid is released. Or event so maybe solution is to become good streamer

Its not true Random. This system literally TRIES to keep from dropping what you need.
At least if it were truly random we could believe they werent going out of their way to drag out our farming time and therefore /played time.
