RIP Worldpvp ( Community council Member )

It would help if this person could express themselves at a 7th grade level. I could barely read that nonsense the way it was written.

So, get rid time gating, got it. Haven’t heard that before.

Even though in never dies, I’m not interested.

Or maybe you just approached it In a biased way or probably didn’t read at all and was just looking for a reason to insult the the guy who posted

No I read it. It’s the same thing as has been posted in GD for 3 expansions. Remove systems because it’s confusing for new players and there are too many barriers to enter competitive end game. I agree with all of that, but the post was nothing new or ground breaking. Also terribly written.

Not only ignoring them. But blatantly doubled down on the upgrade ranking system, when they openly answered a forum post saying g they have heard our feedback about not wanting that system, then saying g they think it’s the answer the players wanted about preogressive gearing in pvp

Ah yes, the “we heard there’s a huge gear disparity between honor gear and conquest gear, so here’s 40% more honor so you can get honor gear faster” joke.

"The extended time it seems to be each expansion/patch to earn certain things is getting to be a bit insane. "

We are in another content drought, Blizzard losses a lot of subscriptions during content droughts. I see this in my guild, normally it’s very active, now it’s almost completely dead.

Blizzard does not like content droughts, so they create grinds. Grinds have always been there.

What do you suggest to reduce grinds, yet still give players something to do?

I wish they would respond to the pvp gearing thread :frowning:

We want more then WQs limited to the current expansion zones .

We want the world specifically Azeroth to actually be brought into the expansion beyond it just being where we pick up the starter quest for the xpac or where we go to use the AH or do only Legacy content.

We want us to have a reason for why we go to these new zones or different realms of cosmic power to actually have an affect on Azeroth and for us to have to go back to Azeroth and the old zones because what ever is happening in the new xpac is causing a rippling effect on Azeroth that we have to go take care of .

Stuff like that can be thrown in as side quests between the gated story quest or it can even be used as other forms of WQs.

We want more world in our World of Warcraft instead of Endgames of Warcraft or Patches of Warcraft.

I’m confused by your post. Why is everyone in your guild leaving if there are grinds that, as you say, are there to keep people playing?

Don’t seem to be working too well, eh?

We have completed the grinds. The grinds did extend our subscription, but for the most part we are done now.

I’m all for that, what do you suggest for this “more”?

Then whats the point if everyone is going to leave anyway? Its better to just let people play how they want to play.

LIke I said in my post add side quests or WQs that send us back to the old zones because what is happening in what ever the current xpac at the time is having some kind of rippling effect on those zones.

Take for example I’ll use SL for this.

A Mawsworn attack is happening in the Vale and you have to go take care of it or with us off world the scourge have gotten off of Northrend and are at the Broken isles attacking Val’shara.

Oh, are we still pretending the community council matters or was ever going to accomplish anything?

I could waste my time typing out a novel of response, but I’m not going to. As usual, the CC members prove themselves to be elitists focused on themselves and how fast they can glutton down the content.

A new player does not actually concern themselves nor expect themselves to be at the tippy top of the power curve as soon as they ding 60…that is a no life tryhard’s concern and what is really being reflected here.

Fact: Literally 99% of the content anyone is doing in this game is NOT designed around being at min max BIS and playing at your maximum. It is NOT required for someone to be renown 80, have 252 conduits, a 262 legendary, and have 252+ ilvl all BIS to go clear content at ANY level.

The problem lies with what the COMMUNITY expects/demands of players to be “worthy” to join groups. Community expectations are outrageously out of control.

Turning the game into something a no life tryhard can just power through day 1 of a content drop date though HURTS new players and casual players…what the OP “supposedly” is concerned with. What makes sense though is capping all forms of currency and rep gains per week and, like valor/conquest, allow new players or even casual players to make up past weeks in grindy scenarios so they can eventually catch up at their pace.

To counter this. I’m actually on board with time gating, when it makes sense for story & immersion purposes.

This was just added to Worldpvp’s community council post on Time gating. Looks like we got the one person who is willing to advocate for long lengthy grinds is on the council. Oh joy. Expected a response like that from Blizz, but not a player. :weary:

I think that the reply has some bad examples for bad timegates (BFA leveling content before SL, and their examples of grinding to bypass power progression is just the progression path)
