I think most things should be separated in judgment. A criminal who turns good is allowed to move on (in certain cases) so I don’t see much difference when someone is good and then turns to crime so suddenly everything about their past is tainted. In general though I think people judge character and dislike when people who do “bad” things are rewarded elsewhere. Its weird what mental gymnastics societies have to go through when we stop cutting off the hands of thieves

Hell, if the worst thing he’s done is beat it in an XXX theater, that seems quaint compared to the things you see folks do nowadays. Seen folks on RP servers do worse.

I was a big Pee Wee fan as a kid. Loved the show, loved Big Adventure, even have a doll laying around somewhere where you pull a string and he says things. A lot of it seems surreal nowadays (especially Big Adventure. Some scenes in that movie are…a trip) but kid me just ate that stuff up.

I had no idea he was suffering through cancer. I’m hoping his passing was a gentle one.

I wasn’t a fan, mostly because his voice was like nails on a chalkboard to my ears. Still a bummer though when actors from your formative years pass away. There’s a million actors who’ve done far worse and get way less criticism. I bet Charlie Sheen’s most innocent day, would probably contain an entire decade worth of an average person’s compilement of questionable actions.

I was never really a fan of Pee Wee, but I was a fan of one of his few non-Pee Wee roles, the vampire Amilyn in Buffy the Vampire Slayer
