RIP multiboxer

They have to have some sort of common usage to enter into the dictionary. One person on the forums isn’t going to get a word into Webster’s. Especially when there’s no definition for the word. It’s just gobbledygook.

They cant help themselves.

hardly. Though it does expose your ignorance in the matter.
Boxing isnt botting…END of debate.
Botting is against the TOS.
Boxing…isnt.

DOOD…if the player is PLAYING THE GAME then it ISNT BOTTING BY DEFINITION
if they ARENT physically playing the game, then its ‘botting’ and is against the TOS, MBing isnt relevant to the issue at all.

Yes, we do. We’ve all seen the 10,000 new candidates for the Websters since the 2016 elections, LMAO.

Subjective both have human input the quest is at what point does a single action removed from input count as a bot.

smirks guilty dogs bark loudest, eh?

So a person running multiple characters on multiple accounts, automating the process with botting tools, and provably doing so when flagged for FFA pvp and ending up killing themselves…isn’t what it is. Got it, someone very literally multibotting isn’t multibotting because it’s different cause YOU do it. Got it, if it’s a practice YOU engage it, it’s perfectly acceptable.

It’s not subjective at all.

Multiboxing is one action per client window per button press. The characters involved don’t take any action whatsoever without direct human input.

Botting on the other hand involves some level of automation, where the characters involved are doing something without human input.

multibotter
mul-ti-bot-ter

noun
guy sitting in basement running several World of Warcraft bot accounts at once
“I saw a multibotter today. He had 17 bots farming materials.”

There. it has a definition now.

One action on one client that happens repeatedly simultaneously on others.
What’s the difference of having a program record a flight path once time from direct input then allowing it to run.

Yeah, that’s just botting though.

Because that’s automation. Your character is then performing actions without direct user input.

I am just trying to understand why a bot would attack anything let alone itself? They are programmed to stop farming and attack low levels?

It had direct input to apply the action the action is continuing with out stopping.

I think Rankin is probably a multibotter. Why else would they be so offended that they resort to semantics and constant nuh-uh to someone else’s uh-huh.

Direct input once, then it’s automation afterwards.

Sorry but this story does not make any sense and would love to see some proof.

several different types of farming. It’s not always flying around picking herbs or mining nodes.

Look into 2x4 farming, it’s where you get 2 groups of 4 people killing mobs to increase the amount of items such as cloth drop on mobs, as well as increasing your chances to get items like rare mounts or BoE’s

Is it automated and no player is needed? Then its botting.
Is a player banging keys for every character action? Then it AINT botting and its not breaking the ToS.

But nothing is being automated in that situation. Each client window is performing a single action in response to a single button press. They aren’t doing anything without the player explicitly telling them to do so.

You press “1” and each character performs a single action based on what is assigned to their first action bar slot.
