Sounds like you went with what was FOTM. I’m not surprised since Warrior did not always remain the meta for tanking even after all the years MMOs were a thing.
You were with DK when it was gud and now you’re upset they won’t be gud.
Some of my posts had evaporated as if that mattered. I might have been mistaken you foe your loyalties. A true DK loyalist would stick through the class always, yet at the same time, would entertain alternatives…
As tanks, we’re equally concerned with our threat and mitigation. For threat, we all maximise our dps. For mitigation, every tank deals with it in their own way, blood just takes higher up front dmg and has big self heals to compensate.
The hps meters? Doesn’t even matter, as 1. It’s only self healing (so can’t replace a healer); 2. The meters are just how the addons read the combat data, they’re not the be-all end-all.
Some tanks take lower up front damage but have lower self heals. Some tanks take higher damage but have higher self heals or receive increased healing. They all deal with it differently.
Hps isn’t even that great of a measure, either, as lower hps can be because no one’s taking damage in high end content and higher hps can be because everyone’s getting hit by avoidable dmg in low end content.
Though if you want a truly meaningless meter, just look at the friendly-fire meter with a brewmaster in the group lmao. I always get a giggle seeing myself at #1 dmg dealt to friendlies because of stagger.
