Social media… what a joke.
just like the stock market. its rigged for someone’s elses gains xD
cancel disney plus is trending on twitter
I am not mad at all. Don’t start this juvenile “u mad bro” stuff.
Has a single one been charged as such?
There is obviously context involved with charging a person as such.
Because going by the strictest interpretation of the words in the law…if I carried a sign asking for hotdogs to no longer be considered a sandwich in New York, and illegally crossed a street…I should be considered a domestic terrorist.
Not really on the same level. Some folks may not have liked KKs work, but it made a ton of money for Disney, so no one at Disney is batting an eye about her. As for Mulan, that’s also a nothing-burger (the movie wasn’t actually that great, okay, but not great) as film studios always thank the governments of the territories they film in in the credits of their movies.
They filmed in Xinjiang to get accurate scenes for the movie. So naturally they thanked the government of Xinjiang and the CCP for making that possible. They would have literally done the same thing if they filmed in Canada (thanking the state government and the federal government for letting them film), Australia or America.
OH NOW IT IS??
mulan shooting near a camp. everyone is asleep.
LaDy TweEtEd A yATzi cOmpArison pOSt. everyone reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
If I’d of been a cop there I’d probably have a pile of bodies there. There was a black cop I saw in a video and he showed so much restraint unlike his white counterparts when its black rioters.
the prequels are forever the best trilogy
I was referring to the dismal numbers it made in china
I feel like there is (and should be) different expectations of behavior from public figures, especially those with large followings and think it’s fine for a company to not want to work with them if they make the brand look bad.
I didn’t actually mind the new trilogy. Were there some parts that I wished I could unsee? Sure, but I felt the same way about the original trilogy and the prequel trilogy so, that’s par for the course.
episode 3 is the greatest star wars movie of all time
China didn’t like a movie about a strong woman? Color me surprised.
i disagree, because i know this bleeds lower then the public figures… instead its everyone with a public profile.
How am I playing coy?
If I carry a sign asking for hot dogs to no longer be a sandwich in NY, I am attempting to influence someone of a political nature.
If I cross a busy street illegally, I am breaking the law, in such a way that can cause physical harm to people.
Therefor…I would be a domestic terrorist?
If you do not believe I would be in this situation, that must mean there is a form of discretion and context that should be considered in all cases.
cancel culture debates are great and all but… what about the droid attack on the wookiees?
the wookies provoked the droids clearly.
Rogue 1 is the best star wars movie fight me
I mean that’s hardly surprising. The movie faced several delays (meaning all hype for the movie had dried up by the time it released) and it didn’t release in cinemas (because of COVID) and then on top of that Disney did make the call to charge folks extra on top of the cost of a Disney+ subscription to watch it when it did finally release so…
I would have been surprised if they made a lot of money in those conditions.
Many past movies did the storytelling better. Apparently Disney treated the Chinese culture with the finesse of using a chainsaw on open heart surgery.
The cost on top of disney+ was a head scratcher
@titanspike I love the critical drinker
