Right Click Reporting is out of the beta. No official word yet

Let me be clear, I love the Chuck Norris jokes and good natured humor. Its when jokes involve bigotry, hate, sexism, racism, etc…

Woa, this is news to me.

I’m totally aware of the fact that the “ok signal” was portrayed as a white supremacist symbol by 4chan trolls as a way to trigger hyper-sensitive progressives.

That doesn’t make it a white supremacist symbol, lol. It’s the freaking ok gesture.

If you choose to be triggered by something that you KNOW is a trolling attempt, then that is 100% on you. Because now that it triggers people, random kids do it for lulz.

Keep up, man. This stuff changes every 3 months and apparently THREATENS OUR FREEDOM EVERYDAY SO WE HAVE TO BAN IT.

It’s not being triggered. It’s understanding that regardless of my intent with something, other people DO interpret that hand symbol as an identifier for white supremacists. So I’m not going to use it because I don’t want to deal with any misunderstandings in which I’m portrayed as a white supremacist…

That I know it started as trolling is irrelevant. It’s moved beyond that now.

thats now breaking any rules so… yeah

its only spam if the same person is repeating something, making a joke or two doesnt fit

i have not had any issues with false reports since that feature went live in legion

ive said some dumb stuff in trade too and still nothing. bans over false reports wont be a thing for hardly anyone

you have to be pretty egregious to get in trouble for words in chat these days

I’m unsure of how to respond to good news from blizzard devs… its just been so long.

We are sure this isn’t being used to push something in the cash shop right?

I want to be optimistic but I’ve been deceived time and time again.

Has a dev actually commented on this?
By the by, RCR is fine.

Have anyone actually got a screenshot of the UI showing it was removed? I know some of you guys are in the beta right now…133 posts(as of this one), no one has actually ponied up a screen cap. So far, all this hoopla is based on what a streamer alleges.

Fine, you’re right, everyone should be able to just spam the chat channels as much as they want, drowning out people actually looking for groups, negatively affecting their experience, because CHUCK NORRIS IS SO FUNNY GAIS!!!

It’s not about saying one or two and then stopping, it’s when it’s litereally in the hundreds per minute, literally SPAM.

Remember when we had the global looking for group chat channel and then they had to take it away from us? That’s why it needs to be in the game.

You still can report them. It is called ‘opening a ticket’.

Not gonna waste my time. With RCR, it was easy and quick. Wham, Bam, Done. Judging by some of you guys comments in this thread, you are fine with botters and gold sellers, as long as you guys can run your mouths without consequence.

Then clearly it isn’t as much of a problem for you as you’re trying to say if you’re too lazy to open a ticket, which only takes a little longer.

Wrong use of the term dude. Ease of access to a reporting function causes abuse. You can still report a chuck norris joke in /barrens if you wanted to. You just have to fill out a report ticket explaining at how annoyed you are at people having fun, then a GM actually has to read it then he can politley tell you to f*** off. No more bots banning people who did nothing wrong is good, even if you have to add one more step to reporting. Also, there is this thing called /ignore if you wana be the fun police. It magically makes everything the person you /ignored not show up in chat…

If someone’s spamming, open a ticket, and /ignore them.

If a group is having fun with the Chuck Norris and Anal [Backstab] jokes, then leave the channel. Hell, anyone who played the game knows about ignoring chat in the Barrens or in cities when things were getting crazy. Just head to the AH and your trainer, and then slide on back to what you were doing. No one is making you stay in the chats.

I find it hard to believe that a single person is going to be able to send “hundreds of spam messages per minute” to chat.

When there are tens, or hundreds, of people sending messages to chat, what are you going to do? Are you going to try to report them all for “SPAM”?.

The system cannot impose anything except temporary communication restrictions. Any long term action is enacted by a GM after review.

I guess no one is gonna show a screencap of the UI showing it was removed?

When there are tens, or hundreds, of people sending messages to chat, that’s called ‘community’, same as when a group of horde get together and attack Southshore.
