Reworks for Classes: Can we get mobility normalized?

You’ve not outlined anything. You’ve had chatgpt come up with what is essentially the current classes made worse, to the point it’s taking elements from multiple specs as it only knows ability names. You can see this in demon hunter and druid (where going into cat form kills you, by the way) as the most obvious.

It’s then added the most basic possible outline of how the skills work 'AoE threat increase ’ so what every ability a tank presses that hits more than one target does?

What about ‘defensive cooldowns’ - are they working as a flat %? Are they increasing parry chance? Are they giving you leech? This is how all the tanks currently work and differentiate from one another - did you even read what it spat out before copy/pasting it because right now all it’s done is (badly) summarize current tank kits in how they function as of this moment. Nothing here is new.

No, normalizimg is takimgnaway identity. Why should a priest be as fast as a dh

Good grief…

RIP to all MM Hunters lol.

Yeah, would love an interrupt.

As I stated, I was simply disproving the idea that it was a “glyph based solution”. Have a nice day.

As a Warlock all they need to do is bring Kil’Jaeden’s Cunning back and that fixes the majority of our mobility issues.

Blizzard doesn’t have a very good take on Priest.

No Holy RDPS spec btw but they can crap out another shadow DPS spec at least. :slightly_smiling_face:

Priests have a mobility button, it just sucks real bad.

Go try feathers in MoP Classic and see how much better it feels because they actually give significant speed.

Also having movement CDRs affect Leap of Faith is such a profoundly dumb decision it makes the class designer for evokers look like an idiot too.

I always felt like that spell should be split into two separate spells. There should be one called “feather drop“ where you actually put it down for someone else and then another one called “light as a feather“ where you can cast it on yourself. Or at the very least, make it a target left click to put it down or just a simple right click to self cast and not have to worry about putting it down and running through it.

Obviously, it’s not quite that bad, yet, but…they are trying REALLY hard to turn RDruid into a cast heal-spammer.

They’re removing a LOT of our HoTs and they removed Cenarion Ward and doubled down on Abundance (which means spamming Regrowth, even in 5-man content).

It’s not looking good for the home team. I am reserving judgment until beta gets here, but they’re messing with the mastery, removing a lot of the passive HoTs and passive HoT-stacking effects/talents that made Druid (HoT-based ramping and incredibly pre-emptive healer) unique.

We’ll see. I’m not ready to doom over it quite yet, but it does not look good.

The alpha notes for MM basically read like: “MM hunters were having too much fun so we’re making it less fun.”

If anything they need to nerf DH mobility.

Funny you say that, they’re literally doing that. They want to stop at level 100 (Should’ve been 99) and move towards making combat more nuanced after you hit max. There is no concrete information at the moment, but the implication is something along the lines of talent trees or things akin to that to enhance gameplay styles.

I mean, I’m all for it for 14.

I think people hype themselves up too much on “could be” that they get disappointed.

We know a combat rework is coming in 8.0, but YoshiP also said that it would not entail a huge overhaul to the way jobs currently play now.

So, we’ll have to see. I’m interested to see what the changes will be, but beyond that, I’m not going to build up an expectation.

FF14 finally going… action combat?

I dont play it. What is it now?

Tab targeting like WoW with some differences. You have your rotations, jobs have unique mechanics of their own, and probably could argue it has more skills than WoW.

Its combat is on the slow side of things since the GCD is slower.
