There’s no borrowed power here. The helm enchants are EXTREMELY weak, and the only reason to play horrific visions is for the content… but they won’t even let us have that.

We’re three months into the season. This content’s release timing was poorly communicated, so players already felt like they had to wait for it.
And now this content is out, and it’s got another few weeks of a timegate before you can even purchase any of the cosmetic rewards, much less the usable gear that is far more easily obtained through the Cartel chips and Delves???
These are bad design choices. Just let the players play the thing. It’s a recycled system, and we can’t even get most of the rewards for roughly a month from now. What a weird, poor choice on your part, content team.
EDIT: Additional bad choices. While the Displaced Corrupted Mementos are Warband transferable at a 1:1 rate, and can be used to buy weapons at escalating tracks, the access to those weapon vendors are locked on a per character basis. So for your alts to access the Veteran weapons, they need to clear two zones within the visions first.
So… Delves and Undercoins continue to be a better way to purchase Veteran gear for your alts. Or the Nightfall scenario and its related content is probably a much faster way to get Veteran gear for your alts.
So, again, why are these Horrific Visions timegated and so restrictive???
EDIT 2: Oh, and Dastardly Duos content releases in two weeks. So by then, we’ll still be waiting for Horrific Vision’s timegate before we can purchase most of its rewards, but are already being pushed/distracted into newer content too? Why is this so messy?

Can’t wait to test them out next week after live testing reveals their issues and results in hotfixes.

Just curious; how are they dealing with the insanity timer since we don’t have the cloak anymore?
So just to clarify, the new visions are timegated. But we can go back to the BFA expansion and play the old visions that are exactly the same as the new visions right? Who thought that made sense?
I’m going to assume that the power ups we unlock will help with sanity. The very first unlock is the heal we got from the old ones which also restores sanity.
We cant really revisit them fully or engage in all of the content until we fully unlock the tree. So, while we can jump in and grind. We have to wait three resets. To unlock things that are only a marginal gain.
There really is not a reason other than an arbitrary decision to do so, to gate this content. For the people who want to degen grind the content, let them. For the people who will just do it at a leisurely pace, let them.
No real reason to gate it.
