Exploit early, exploit often.
I love it when spawn campers camp the GY but don’t get any blood because we all have the debuff
I don’t get how they don’t notice that their blood count isn’t going up
I noticed it right away after my experience earlier where I quickly got to 260 tributes vs. only managing to get a whopping 6 and when I finally noticed the buff, I immediate ran for the Zandalari dude and decided to opt myself out because it stopped being enjoyable.
Was just reading what they did.
LOL. How are these people in charge of making these kinds of decisions. That’s so bad.
I just want them to stop grouping. Or maybe limit grouping to groups of 2 or something. How is it a FFA event when everyone is grouped. How am I over here as a rogue supposed to gank people when as soon as I attack 4 other people turn around and kill me?
It does become extremely pointless very quickly when everyone has the debuff so no one gets blood but no one is willing to stop killing each other until the debuff fades
Blizzard isnt going to read this cause they dont care about the player base or to make the game fun. So this will never be fixed cause they dont care
Honestly it’s pretty sad that this is the reality of WoW’s design.
They never revert any gains after they break content for the majority of the player base.
What the hell did they intend? Have they spoken about why they hotfixed it?
yep. Glad I could have gotten my epic in 2 games like others, but now I am stuck farming for days and days in this BS thing.
Day 2, already ruined lmao.
God damn it was SOOO FUN yesterday. I have no idea what they even hoped to accomplish by changing it.
Cancelled sub. So much newfound free time this weekend.
From the sounds of it, you used to just be able to get kills and collect blood/coins, but now they have changed it so that you get debuffed on death which prevents people from getting blood from you, but you also lose collected blood when killed? (Or prevents you from collecting blood)
Haven’t done it myself but that seems to be the jist from people’s posts.
Either way the ability to farm the rewards has been substantially diminished in an unintuitive way after a lot of people have already profited from the lucrative rewards of the release event.
You get a debuff for 1 minute after rezzing that makes you not worth blood stacks to others and unable to gain blood stacks yourself. No one can see other people’s debuffs to know who is eligible and who isn’t. The only way to stay alive the full minute as a night elf was to rezz and shadow meld. Then try to get a kill or two before dying again and then back into shadow meld. It’s awful.
So, the Win Traders dumpstered the event and got away with it.
Exploit early, Exploit often
Also I don’t know if this was intended, but I couldn’t rez on my corpse, only in the graveyard, which just made it worse.
This is the lesson learned here.
Yeah, seems the big issue is the fact classic is really bad at conveying buffs/debuffs to other players.
I assume the idea was to prevent people camping but it’s been horribly implemented. Also Blizzard should know by now, not being rewarded has never preventing camping/ganking.
Probably 90% of the camping done in this game since 2004 was people dumping on grey levelled players for no honour but just to ruin someone’s day.
If they wanted that to work they might as well make players that rez with the debuff not PvP targetable for the duration.
They may as well just make it a 1m death timer whenever you die. That would avoid how completely unintuitive the debuff situation is, and would prevent people who cannot give you blood from forcing a fight in which none of you truly win, but now you have less blood.
It’s just the dumbest possible thing they could have done. How did they expect the original event was gonna go, and how do they expect this hotfix to change the way it goes from here on? It took good feelings for everyone and turned it into bad feelings for everyone.
