There was some miscommunication between my roommate and I on whether we would be taking advantage of the free transfer, and he transferred thinking I had agreed to leave our realm, but had decided not to.
Live chat isn’t open, and he has a ticket open, but I would like to know if he has a chance to have his transfer reverted? I would like to know soon if I have to transfer or not.
Unfortunately, no. Transfers cannot be reverted at this point. It’s been confirmed in the CS forums that once completed, there’s no way to reverse it.
The answer is no. They won’t reconsider, and your only option left is to reroll, or take the transfer. There were like… what 2-4 warnings throughout the process.
I might be wrong and they make an exception but I really highly doubt it because it will set a precedent that others will expect the same. They’re doing this whole thing to rebalnace the population and allowing people to go back to the full servers is antithetical to the whole purpose of the transfers.
Just take the free transfer with your buddy.
Actually, a GM can’t even make an exception in this case. The GMs don’t have any tools for Classic that would allow them to revers a transfer. The only time it would even be considered is if there was evidence of an account compromise and even then a GM still can’t do it. They’d have to send it to a specialist to get it reversed.

They do hope to offer paid transfers at some point, but they’re not there yet, so your advice to take the transfer to stay with their friend is spot on!
