Wow. It’s been 10 years since I’ve played this game. There’s a LOT for me to catch up on.
Anyway, Hello! Thought I’d check in with you lovely people as I work through Midnight content.
I’ve been a roleplayer and PVPer back in the day. Pretty casual with the PVP side. Think I’m liking the Delves so I’ll probably put focus there for now and continue my casual PVP and have fun with housing. Currently, I am unironically playing a Pandaren Death Knight. I got a good story for that.
Already joined on the discord and looking around there.
So, I’m seeking a community and possibly a guild, but I’m always open for the random roleplay when it comes up. I would love to know how much the roleplay scene has changed in the decade I’ve been gone.

Currently, the craze is housing! You might have a lot of decor items in your catalog and not even know it. You can go to any public neighborhood and purchase a house on an empty lot for 1,000g. It can be moved to any lot of the same faction neighborhood (Alliance to Alliance, Horde to Horde) for no additional cost, so you’re not limited by the first spot you pick.
Crafting is also very different. I don’t know how to explain it though. I just press the buttons.

The roleplay scene in some ways has changed but in a lot of ways has not. “Same ****, just different names” was a saying when I started and in many instances I have found that to be true. I don’t really go to Orgrimmar much these days as I’m usually out Rping in the world or within Mulgore.
One thing that has changed is the Tauren Rp community. We’re thriving and things are going great! We have several great guilds and a good number of familiar faces hanging out and hosting events. There are three weekly events and a few monthly ones. It’s honestly a dream come true. I’m really thankful to those that host or help host events.
Since Quel’Thalas has been revamped there are been a lot of Rp over there too. I have several friends in guilds and communities and it’s great to see them doing well too. I was actually just at one of their events over the weekend.
Overall Roleplay is happening and there are thriving communities. It really depends on what one might be looking for.
I’m not really looking for anything major. Some slice of life RP that has good character growth, perhaps a catered neighborhood to move in to. I like to keep my RP more simple and save the earth-shattering crisis for events and such.
Now I do have a great love for RP integrated with the rest of the game, like questing, running delves, or dungeons while in-character.
