Hi everyone. I’ve returned to play as a mage for this season, been having a lot of fun, up until I hit the dragonflight story arc where Chronormu and Eternus are falling through time.
Now full disclosure, I’ve done this a few times over the past few years and each and every time it sucked. It sucked so bad I wanted to quit, its just that bad (or poorly explained).
The quest throws you into a map full with elites as a mage I can’t hit 80% of the time (miss,miss miss). The NPC Companion assigned to me Zera can’t take on more than one at a time. It is an absolute S-Show.
So after probably my fourth time struggling my way through this quest. What is the right way to do it? are we supposed to skip the mobs entirely and try to rush close those portals? I can’t think of any other point in the game I’ve played up to this point where its been like this.
Edit: I found wowhead and other players with similar problems. The quest doesn’t do enough to inform players to avoid the zone full of elites. Furthermore, it does not inform the player they don’t have to close the four portals around the map (I spent ages trying to kill elites as my mage to kill one, get the second to 2/3 health only to have them respawn). They really need to buff the AI companion for this part - he’s severely underpowered to help and is barely useful as tank fodder.
